    Default Wall of Shame

Love the Idea of Geoff's about putting up a wall of shame. We or some of us ,well me posted our 'Dear John's' in the crew mess room for comments and very ingenious they were too. So maybe we should put it up or Mike you could just ignore the sick bugger. Mike

Why did I get so many D.J.s?

    Default Les

Les. I always thought Kingston upon Thames was a posh place and so were we. But as you say that railway line ran down the middle and we were born the wrong side. Mike
P.S. Did you ever get my 'e' to you ref., the out school called Clarence Road?

    Hula from Mexico.
Have my eye on a new 'hand' for the ship. Hope she meets with your approval?
Only one problem. She would like to be Galley boy, as she wants to work with me. Who can blame her!!
I would like to put it to a vote. It would mean that Mike would have to be demoted to ??, Sorry about that Mike. But as you can see, she does have more to offer. Not sure if she can peel spuds, but who cares. You couldnt do that either, and she is better looking by far.
Will leave it with you guys.
My search for new crew members will go one. Not an easy job, but | am sure you all appreciete my dedication.
    Den.

    Default New Galley Boy

Listen Den. Think logically, she will kill you I'll just annoy you. Haven't I made you loads of dosh flogging your tabnabs to all and sundry in the building trade. Haven't I kept you supplied first with Four Bells, then Eight Bells and now the mighty one that can't be bettered '16 Bells' The once a year brew which will last a life time.
Now I've a better IDEA lets sign her on as junior galley boy/girl and she can serve under me. In fact I'm that generous she can share my bunk as well as my cabin.
Anyway we should now be on our way to Suez so I better keep her hidden as the Taffia might flog her in Port Said for a couple of camels.
Anyway it's up to our gallant captain Les B Anne and Mr Mate Gulliver and they won't sign her on. Yah Boo suck. Mike

    Hey Den.
    Has she got any sisters??.

    Hi Mike.
Dont worry mate, we wont sell her for a couple of camels shes worth more than that!.And your quite safe too.
Ive been onto our arab/welsh agents in port said. Messers ,Musthava Leek.
They said the trade in Victor Meldrew type Galleyboys has dried up.They only want the young ones now.
Weve also had a chat on that speical brew of 8 bells, they reckon that we might be able to do a deal?. As they have a pile of exmilitary surplus that just needs cleaning up and a few coats of paint. this is leftover from the 6 day war in 66. they say that they can patch up the holes without a problem, but have we any spare old chart paper for them??.

Your right Mike. Dont know where my head was. She wolud no doubt cause more trouble than we already have on the ship.
Might have been nice though. Not sure she would go for the job under you. Maybe I should show here you mug shot? That sould really scare her off. In the old days, she would have been worth a bomb in Port Said.
Oh well, Back to the beach.
    Den.

Well I reckon she could do the job of peak steward, as far as I can see we don't have one and she could wake us all up with a smile. Then she could make up our bunks, do the ironing, lay or clean clothes out for us, and who knows how else she could assist us?????

    Default 8 Bells

If we have Mushavaleek on board and get him to taste the old 8B's we could possibly flog him a load of Dens tabnabs for rebuilding and shoring up those pyramids of theirs. We could also flog some of that surplus World War 2 porridge oats from the side lockers in the store room, they could use it up as a form of morter to lay the tabnabs with. By the way I've been informed by the 'Old Man' Les B Anne that all swimming is banned in the canal and the cut. I believe we're calling into Port Sudan where if my memory is right theres quite a big pool for us to splash in. We're not heading up the Gulf this time but making for Mamagoa in India. Not sure what the cargo is as last time there (45yrs ago) it was iron ore. Anyway all you deckies and engineers rest easy as you know Vernon, Dazy John, Den and yours truely will keep an eye on you (no doubt Taffys older one. Mike
