Vernon, just announced the latest figures are,
20% of population now fully vaccinated with total doses given to date at 13 million.

Population of Oz is about 25.6 million.
Take from that the figure of those below 16 which is about 1.6 million.

Then to get to 70% of the remaining 24 million requires 16.8 million done

Then for 80% of the 24 million you require 19.2 million done.

Report from the British Medical association said that from test conducted and relevant information collected a conclusion is that the AZ is 95% efficient.

Pfizer, a USA company will reportedly make a profit of up to 2 billion dollars from the vaccine roll out, AZ say they will only sell at cost price and make no profit from sales.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Big march here in Melbourne last night in protest to the latest lock down, number 7, now 187 days in total, which came about with just four hours notice.

Whilst Vaccination numbers are climbing well there are still some antis out there.

Victoria, if you go to the My Gov site on your computer you can down load a much smaller version of your vac details.

Early results from tests indicate that the AZ jab offers better long term protection than the Pfizer.
Apparently the Pfizer T cell production drops after six months therefore a booster jab must be administered.
Those receiving the AZ jab may not need a booster as the T cells are still at about 95% after six months.
The T cells are the cells which control immunity.

JP 419 We should take them all and give a compulsory jab for covid as soon as they land, that would set their minds running with all sorts of idea !!!!, would not be long before the rumours would take off, they are killing us etc, i bet that would slow the boats down, kt

Lewis, no jab, no job, agree. But doubt the human rights lawyers would have field day.
Same with iab passports, breaches the human rights, when you go abroad on hols you need a passport-no breach there then.
When we were at sea, we carried a vaccination card no human rights then.
Read in todays paper a lawyer who spouted about the vaccination was anti the Covid jab, guess what? He died of covid.

Totally agree Lewis, i am convinced that a lot of these youngsters are getting the jab when it was muted that nightclubs would not allow entry without a certificate an ID. When their pleasure is at risk its amazing how minds can change. As you say, no jab, no job , kt

Its a surprise Macron did not put a rider in to say AS not to be accepted, he's frantically trying to hold on until the spring, when he will be given the bums rush anyway , kt
