Re: Covid Vacs
Victoria, as I posted previously my son and grandson both had cancer, my son had to have extensive chemo which involved him having to stay in hospital for two days every two weeks on chemo intravenously, he is ok now but on permanent medication so don't give up he will get over this latest setback, our thoughts are with you at this time. Re: Covid Vacs
Victoria you hang in there, it 'aint over till the fat lady sings and there are none here in Vic.
I see Israel is to give third shot boosters to all over 60.
Singapore has declared the Virus to be nothin g more than a super Flu and will deal with kit in that manner.
Here in Oz we are up to 12.3 million with at least 1 shot.
Need to get to 16.48 mil to reach 70%
Based on a population of 25.6 mil of which 1.6 will be under 16

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Covid Vacs
Boosters! What we havent even got a Third of our Population yet Vaccinated here, the Aussies are surely lacking behind! Thank goodness our Second one is now only about a Week away!
The rate the Jabs are going here any Boosters will more than likely not be required by the time all are vaccinated HERE LOL

Re: Covid Vacs
Vernon, now some 12.8 million with at least one dose.
We need 16.8 fully to get to 70% which can be done by end of September at current rate.
The for 80% we need 18.9 fully done.
Can be done by years end with the increase in Vaccine coming into country.
From UK info saying that a mix of AZ with either Pfizer or Moderna will give the best protection.
Figures based on ou population of 25.6 mil, of which there are about 1.6 below the age of need.
Victoria, your lad will be fine, the progress with treatment of such has moved so far forward over the past few years it is quite r amazing what can now be done.

Re: Covid Vacs
As the Yanks say! I would like to see that! LOL
And John, i think your calculations are a bit out mate, the Percentages you give do not add up as far as what has already been given and if we get to the nearly 10 Million.?
We are at 3.9 million jabs already. Five million jabs means we're halfway to the 80 per cent target and 9.2 million jabs gets us to 70 per cent.'
And see this Report which i think although i dont like it, is very close to waht may happen if we are not careful!
Doctor says Australia will suffer an 'uncontainable Covid outbreak' (msn.com)

Hi Vernon.
Make sure you are not having mine, Glady's has taken all the Pfizer jabs off us, and I certainly am not getting the other one, our Neighbour said her Dr refused to give her the Zenica as she was to young????

Re: Covid Vacs
Des mate
Both of us have had the AZ 1st dose, and are to get the second AZ as well, we see nothing wrong with it at all, had a slight funny feeling for about 2 Hours and that was it, besides her Indoors having a bit of a Sore Arm, but other than that no worries!
Would rather have that than sit and wait , and possibly get Sick???
All booked and go Go Go!
Most of the Brothers and Sisters in Law have all had their seconds now and all AZ.

Re: Covid Vacs
The problem is that AZ was embroiled in the politics, and numerous lies were stated, and that has caused people to doubt it.AZ was produced free from profit, but has now soured the AZ people, so much that they are stating they are withdrawing from the vaccine production. I doubt they will ever get in to that situation again. Here in UK it is widely used, and i don't hear of any problems, myself and my wife both had AZ, and will have it again next month as booster, or whichever is offered, kt
