[QUOTE=happy daze john in oz;238422]Tomorrow, and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day, to the last syllable of recorded time
and all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death,.........etc. [QUOTE/]
Oh You and your Macbeth soliloquies John ! ! "Had me spluttering on me cornflakes an' gin ".
BTW (That means By The Way in textspeak -allegedly ), that word 'Soliloquies ' can really fool a spellchecker you know. And it's even harder to say with a mouthful of the said extremely nutritious breakfast without choking, spraying the wallpaper,or frightening the cat.
Like it- a bit of culture in the morning,or late at night wherever you may be!
Reminds me of an old joke somewhere in the recesses, about a drunk complaining to his cronies that the landlord is a weird guy.He Keeps calling him Shakespeare, apparently, something to do with him being barred.....
I know.

Cannot be bothered to type it all again Vernon, the moment is lost, but why you saw the need to edit it is beyond me as there was nothing untoward in it, suffice to say it was me whom Rodney was getting at in a sentence that had upset him, which I acknowledged. I was merely pointing out that MN personnel jumping ship in OZ/NZ and people swimming the Rio Grande was a bit different to those coming through the Chunnel, the former wanted to integrate into their adopted countries, the latter want to change our country and also included the following words:-
"Now if the above gets you pished, so be it, but I don't think many of us are guilty of erroneous reading despite our lack of formal education in many cases, including myself".
I also re-iterated that I found his posts interesting and informative, but that we should also be allowed to question some of the statements there-in without a hissy fit being thrown.

Re: Touch Typing.
LEARNING TO TOUCH TYPE REQUIRES PATIENCE. IT SHOULD TAKE 3 MONTHS OR LESS, AND IS WELL WORTH THE EFFORT IF YOU WANT TO WRITE LONG DOCUMENTS, e.g. YOUR MEMOIRS.
LEFT HAND
Place pinkie on A. Second finger on S. Third finger of D. Fourth (fore) finger on F.
To type G, move fore finger from F.
To use top line keys: Move pinkie to Q. Second finger to W. Third finger to E. Fourth finger to R and T.
To use bottom keys: Move pinkie to Z. Second finger to X. Third finger to C. Fourth to V and B.
RIGHT HAND
Place pinkie on Semicolon (
. Second finger on L. Third finger on K. Fourth (fore) finger on J.
To type H, move forefinger from J.
To use top line keys: Move pinkie to P. Second finger to O. Third finger to I. Fourth finger to U and Y.
To use bottom line keys: Move pinkie to Oblique Stroke (/ ). Second finger to Full Stop (.), Third finger to Comma (,). Fourth finger to M and N.
Where you want to get the top symbol shown on a key, hold down either of the two SHIFT keys. To get all Capital Letters, press CAPS LOCK.
The fingers of both hands should always return to the keys in the middle row, called the QUIDE KEYS. Practice first by using one hand only.
The sentences - ALL GOOD MEN SHOULD COME TO AID OF THE PARTY or THE QUICK FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG contain all the letters of the alphabet. When you can type these sentences using the correct fingers, and without looking, YOU CAN TOUCH TYPE!

Hi Ian,thanks for your informative post. However,in the interest of constructive accuracy and completeness may I add the following?
I'm not sure what you mean by QUIDE KEYS. Do you possibly mean GUIDE keys?
Perhaps you were typing too fast,or perhaps momentarily lost your touch!
Re Your pangrams- i.e. sentences containing all 26 letters of the alphabet.
I don't know where you got your 'ALL GOOD MEN SHOULD COME TO AID OF THE PARTY'-because it only contains 18 different letters !
And don't forget it is 'THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG' to make it complete.
I find an appropriate sentence for we nautical types is ' A Quick Movement Of The Enemy Will Jeopardize Six Gunboats '.
Some of you may not know what the little ridges below the letters F and J in the middle of your keyboard are for.
The bumps or nipples -yes don't get excited because that really is another term for them(!)-found on the F and J keys on the keyboard helps users correctly position their left and right hand on the keyboard without having to look at the keyboard. For example, without looking at your keyboard you should be able to feel the keyboard and correctly position your left index finger on the F and the right index finger on the J. From this position, you should be able to locate the remainder of the keys on the keyboard. Touch Typing !
Best Regards
