During PMQ's today, the Prime Minister was asked whether the EHIC, (or the European medical card that allows free medical treatment throughout the EU), would be valid if we voted to come out of Europe. He, not being a brexit fan, gave the usual inconclusive reply along with a veiled threat that the British may be charged if we came out. Two American politicians, Mumbana and Hillary Clinton both stuck their interfering noses in OUR politics while their own electioneering resembles a Three Ring Circus starring Charlie Cairoli and Ronald Macdonald.

Hey Fouro, remember your time at sea/ we all had different ideas and got upset at times with what was said, but we got over it and carried on. So come on put it behind you and carry on, be political if you wish I doubt anyone will be upset.

The referendum is throwing up strange bedfellows. According to the Daily Mail the TUC WILL throw its weight behind the government campagain to remain. The Government in turn will water down its proposed T.U. reforms.

    Re Number 134.
The Flagship RN super-carriers could be left to rust at Rosyth in a row over shipyard jobs on the Clyde.
A Trade Union has threatened to down tools on the £6billion Fife project if a single Glaswegian is left out of work, as the war of words grew over Type 26 frigates being built at BAE yards in the west of Scotland.
GMB Scotland officer Gary Cook vowed to do "whatever it takes" to ensure his members demands are met, including effectively holding the HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales, the largest Navy ships ever built, to ransom in the port on the Forth. He said "the joint Trade Unions are as one". We will not accept one further compulsory redundancy on the Clyde. I want the Government to hear that loud and clear. "We have got two aircraft carriers that have not been handed over yet at Rosyth. As far as we are concerned, they will rust at Rosyth if there are any compulsory redundancies on the Clyde". Mr Cook also added, we have got a lot of Clydesiders working in Rosyth. We are a small family now and like all small families we look after one another. It emerged that work on the Type 26 order by the Clyde would not begin until late next year. The vessels will also be built at a slower pace, a move Unions say could lead to 800 redundancies in the Clyde yards.
    FOURO.

Harold Macmillan stated at the time and is on record that he believed that the EEC (as it was then) would be dominated by Germany at sometime and he was against us joining.
Ted Heath negotiated our entry and lied over the terms and condition of our acceptance.
Harold Wilson renegotiated our terms and conditions, put to a referendum and lied over the ramifications of us staying in.
Various Prime Ministers since then have lied over our terms and conditions of staying in the EU.
Non of our Political class irrespective of which party has had the guts to stand up and spell out the truth of our membership.
People like Chris Patten, Neil Kinnock and Clegg and others like them have pensions (generous) from the EU. The terms and conditions of such pensions are that you cannot criticise the EU, or you will lose your pension.
There was a motion in the House of Lords to make anyone that receives monies from the EU, to make them declare an interest prior to any statements or any votes on the EU, it was rejected out of hand.
    regards
    Vic

It's referred to now JP, as 'darkmail' and probably the late skipper of Morning Cloud was apparently usually greeted by his cabinet at no 10 with ' Hello Sailor'.

#139 That's when he wasn't playing his fiddle or conducting the London Philamonic Orchestra. A good example of a politician completely out of tune with his country. Should have stayed in the army in charge of a part of the ack ack regiment he was seconded to during the war. JS
