Hey Mike sorry to hear that your knees gone wobbly. But i did tell you before you went sking not to take your zimmer frame on the lifts. Its no wonder that they call you Brits, Gerry hat- tricks.

Good to see you have returned, but we did miss the post cards, suppose they are still in the mail. Dhaishop has now gone on leave to Spain, told me he was going looking for a Spanish flea, or was that a fly???? Maybe he will bring a couple of Senoritas back, we could do with some new female blood.

Now I know why I'm back, I missed all the insults. Listen Geoff my zimmer has skis attached and carries the haversack rations, like 32 Bells, Den's tabnabs(strictly for samples) and now I'll have some of Terry's sponge. In fact forget the sponge just pass me the brandy. I needed it when I found out what it's going to cost to move. John since your still propping up the bar(more than what Wales done on Saturday) pour me a large one.

Mother's Day yesterday and got taken out by the family for lunch. Took the W.R. as well seeing it was Mother's Day. Small inn on the Qauntocks. Choice of 2 meats or have 'em both and the veg selection was fabulous. Roast spuds, creamed spuds with spring onion,brocoli, cauli, roasted root veg and Dauphinoise potatoes along with tasty Yorkshires followed by a nice bread & butter pud (Chef used apricots along with the sultanas) washed down with good old Doombar bitter.( from the Rock brewery opposite Padstow) The zimmer frame complained but I told the grandchildren to stop complaining and pull harder. Hope the leg takes the strain.

Got an appointment thru to see the specialist ref., kneecap, 21st of April the NHS gets better. NO, musn't complain they looked after my old Taffy as I call her coz she's old and a Taff.

Anyway you ugly buggers gotta sign off as taken the 'Boss' into town. Thats me, injured and still working. Take care my lovely b'Boyos' and don't play with those Welsh privates. Mike

Now let us get this straight. It was mothers day and the family took you out. Now is there something you want to tell us all or do we just guess. I am sure you will be updated on all that has happened here as while you where away the claws did come out for a while. So hope that your leg is getting better or was it amputated and hence why the family took you out for mothers day. They do marvelous surgery over there I hear. Hope the WR is getting better and send my regards to you both.

It was mothers day, abouit nine months after fathers day, so is that why they took the father as well as the mmother? We do not get mothers day until May, how come you managed to jump in so soon, fathers day is September, so where will you be, eating rock hard tab nabs and drinking VAT 32??????

Hey John. Aptly put you can't have a Mothers Day before Farthers ( who said the farther the better) Day which I believe is June over here. And when it's fathers day in my experience its father who pays for the day out. Must close lads as have a late shift on the coal face after a morning shift in the furnace works. Mike

So that is why you went ace over jack. Skis on your zimmer frame , thats a definate NO NO. and then having 1/2 cwt of Dens tabnabs hanging around your neck.Its a good job that you didnt land on those tabnabs????. But im glad that your still taking the Welsh rose out for lunch even if somebody else paid for the meal , did you get a doggy bag as well.

Today is OUR anniversary. W.R. say's I must never forget. I tried to explain that one should learn from one's mistakes. It didn't go down to well. Have bought her three bunches of daffs because she say's they remind her of home! If we go down to the seafront and look over the channel she can see Cardiff! Use to be a big Welsh society here, but a lot are going back as they've run out of sheep.
Weather gone cold here and temp dropped to 7 degrees celcius. Nice and dry so Taffy has me clearing out the shed and taking all the plates and paintings off the wall to get ready for the move. Tried using the bad leg excuse but she has me sitting down packing.
Geoff should of thought about a doggie bag and then I could of saved on lunch today, must be old age making me so forgetful.
Anyway today 48 yrs ago I tied the knot in St John's in the fair city of Cardiff. There was a pub across the road where I had my last drink as a 'free' man. It was either the Tennis Courts or the Constitution no doubt Taffy X will tell us. Anyway in 65 came ashore and use to post Taffy X's mail more than likely all his dole cheques? W.R. and I never got to Kiwi to live which I regret and she said she would've of loved to settle there, but Geoff knows what Welsh mother in laws are. When ever I spoke about emmigrating Mum went into one of her many vapours. Ah Well! Water under the bridge and have some wonderful grandchildren here so here we stay.
So lads take a glass into your hand and toast W.R. and I and hope we have many more. I better go and see if I can get a cheap bottle of Dr Penfold's but doubt it.

Mike 48 years is almost two life sentences, and no time off for good behavior. But then what would we know about such things eh???? Two years time you may well get a telgram from H.M. the queen that is not the prison service. Will you be celebrating with some of Den's tab nabs, they may be very nice iced!!!!! By then my plum wine will be ready, oh what a combination.
