    MIKE & THE WELSH ROSE.
Congratulations to you both, 48 yrs, so you must be doing something right !. Dont worry about mothering laws, i still havent learnt that lesson . IM on my second one, i insult her but she still comes back for more, (Bloody old Dragon). Made her a broomstick once but she never gets the message.
So carry on with the packing, and i'll have a word with the boyos . we might be able to borrow the pit ponies for the weekend to help you move. That will keep the costs down, you should be able to afford a bag of carrots.
CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN. I'll send over a bottle of 4 bells for you.

Hope your all well and fit today. Wifie supplied a bottle of Californian red yesterday. It was tasty but not a Penfolds or a Marlborough, but must be thankful for small mercies.
Trying to think of a way for all of us to suppliment our pensions but can't think of anything other than Den and Terry making bri--- er mean tabnabs for us to flog on the cheap to builders. Could we pose as lifeguards and look after all those beach babes or would we all collectively require use of the fibrilator if said babes showed more than we're use to at our ages. Can't even be a blood donor if you have a bit of prostate problem. Won't trust me to be a Lollipop man in case I lose me marbles on selfish drivers. Can't be a bus driver as half the time I don't know where I'm going or coming from. At least when we're in the bungalow there will be no stairs to confuse me as to if I was going up or coming down. When I collected rent for the council I was always over the top with the money. I MUST WIN THE LOTTERY then I can come with W.R. (she won't let me go by myself) and visit all you crowd. I could hire a cruise ship but not the one we're crewing, even I've more sense than that. Out thru the Panama turn right and proceed up to Vancouver see Den. Then down a bit and on to Oz and see Vernon, John, Les and co, over to Kiwi and latch on to the Taffia. To stop any moaning will have to have George (bellbottom) Alf, and Gulliver and the rest of the crew that still live in the U.K.
Weather here back to normal wet and windy. Must go have to take Taffy to garden centre. Mike

You are more than welcome to come down here for a while and I am sure that we would all be ready for a session in the pub (probably Monty's for us NSW blokes and the Pier hotel for the Vic's. As for finding extra dosh. Well it is a wonder that some of these shipping company's have not latched onto hiring us experienced blokes to sign on. Lets face it we have our pensions and all that so what would they have to supply. Food and a bunk as well as insurance just in case. From what I can make out everything is so automatic on the ships of today that they do not even have watches. So all those chores that we used to do are gone. I would not like to be the one in charge. We could hold lotteries as to how many finished the trip. Plenty of replacement crew as we are spread every where. Yeh cheap labor that would have grins that Mr Sheen could not wipe of. Would not get us any extra dosh but would give the wives a break that is for sure.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Typical Bolshie cooks , have you ever tried eating one of your Tabanabs. they look very good, as if they would melt in the mouth. but looks are deceiving. that 5 of sand & 1 of cement recipe is a jaw breaker. chuck one of them across the galley and it will dent the steel..

Belated Happy Anniversary to you and your good Lady Mike. With this time zone thing we over here sometimes dont pick up untill after the event. Anyway, hope you had a good one.
If I may, I will drink to your health tonight. In fact right now. Will just give the Misses a shout. Oh, dont think I have heard those words since I was in the Docks!!
Have to agree with Terry. Us tabnab makers dont get any respect. All those comments of two of sand and one of cement.[how did that secret get out anyway?] Think we should go on strike, then you guys would suffer.
Like Mikes idea of traveling around for a visit. Would be great to meet all you guys.
The members in England are lucky in that regard.
Time to get my own drink.
    Den.

Its not just the mixture of one cement to five of sand, thya also cause cronic constipation, and broken teeth. The price of dentures and dentists fees as well as senna pods I think Den should provide them on the national health to us. I just hope you dont have a greenhouse, something about throwing stones.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Wouldnt worry about the sena pods, have you seen tomorrows menu,
Soup of the day, yesterdays and the weeks before that.
Entree, Kitikat on last weeks bread , toasted & mould removed
Mains ,Roast woof woof and vegs saved from last week
    Sweet. rice pudding & weevels
If that dont give you the galloping ab-dabs , nothing will.
