    Default Virtual Ship

Hi Vernon ( or Chief ) I hope that you will find my diiscarge book to your liking, started off as a Galley Boy on the Port Pirie in 1964 and finished my sea going career as Food and Beverage Officer with Stena Line in 1991. now a humble Chef in Folkestone, Kent. Still if the ships cook pegs it with to much rum, I can always take over. getting sea-sick already. Take care........ Terry

Hey, we need a chief cheff[chef] After all I signed on as chief BAKER, and have been doing double duty [without pay] since we shiped out. Terry sounds like he knows what he is doing, which is more than I can say about myself. Just dont like that mention about rum. Thats my department!!

Mike the 'Flag job' is yours along with a little chipping and red leading. Terry welcome aboard as cook (we certainly need one) Can you make a good duff or spotted dick? No mate we'er not asking you if you have one but can you make one. Slight difference methinks. Have a word with the Welsh Witches if you want an extra pot they might let you use their cauldron. Glad to see vernon's back on board hope Dazy John isn't far behind.
WHICH ONE OF YOU wITCHES HAS BEEN STICKING PINS IN A MODEL OF MY RIGHT LEG. Got to see the physio to make sure I'm o.k for skiing Its bloody hard enough to stand on at the moment. Way things are going have to get Den to bake a couple of extra large tabnabs and stick them on my feet. Mike

    Hi MIKE
. Dont blame us for your bad leg !!!.As i was going to stick this big FID somewhere else. Now if you were ment to go slidding down a mountain and using two lumps of dunage tied to your feet and with no brakes ,i dont know what you expect. The best advice i can give you is , stick to what you do best. The 10 yd dash in your zimmer frame. LOL

Next thing you know he will want a zimmer frame with a motor on it, maybe a V8? I know we need a GOOOOOOOD cook aboard, but a cook not a cockoo or a wilful bloody murderer, its bad enough as it is with the second cook and bricklayer making tabnabs that could be used for sinkers on a fishing line. Real food, Boston baked pork and beans might be nice. But no too many beans, last time we had beans we had to put a ban on lighting matches etc in case we blew the ship to the tish house.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Default Boston baked beans

    Dried harricot beans
One onion 6 cloves of garlic
Lean belly pork ( minus rind)
Loads of tinned tomatoes plus tomato puree.

gently fry thinly chopped onion and garlic in olive oil, add toms., and puree, season to taste. After soaking harricot beans overnight drain and place in large roasting dish along with other ingredients, Fry off lean thinly chopped belly pork and add to roasting tin along with a good dollop of molasses stir well and place in oven and allow to bake gently. Make a loaf of crusty bread and serve with the Boston baked beans. Um um Paradise food. Wash down if needed with a good beer or lager.
If you wish to spice it up a little add smoked hot paprika powder and if you want to get your veggies in with it gently roast and add chopped sweet red and yellow peppers to dish. Grasi****s. ! Mike
