    Default Position

Now Lads. We've relieved Alf from the wheel as we have a real live navigator who uses an ESSO map. This I'm sure will come in handy if we bump into any shoreline. Mind you I don't know if its a U.K. only map or shows other parts of the world. I would think if we're in the Canaries or near them and head NNE we might find where the Med flows into the Atlantic and then we could turn a bit right and head thru the Straits keeping that big needle of rock called Gib on our left hand side. Then if we are really lucky we could put the wheel down left a bit anf follow the coast till we come to that big bit which heads down to Sicilly. I think then if we turn sharp right ( before we head downwards) we could pull up in Genova just nicely. Then the the Welsh Wizards and Alf, Den, Per., Dazy John and myself could have shore leave while Vernon restores ship and Gulliver or Daveyboy as his intimates call 'im could brush up on his ESSO map. ( clean off the sauce stains and egg droppings and stuff ugh)
George would have to maintain gangway watch as he tends to follow blondes in tight bell bottoms so we could lose 'im if we allow him a cruise ashore. Les won't want shore leave as he is to old to enjoy the delights of signorinas, and we can always bring him back an ice cream. In fact we could take them all back and ice cream. We can flog some of Den's bricks to the local government so they can keep Columbus's memorial in good repair. The local Mafia might give us a good price on the 'Eight Bells' to run their cars on and ease any fuel shortage they might have. Oh Well! I can dream, I better get back in the galley a peel the spuds before W.R. finds me absent. Safe sailing you Jokers. Mike

    Angry Steady There!

Mike don't you dare yet relieve our Af of his command.!
No,I'm applying for position as Pilot(After all,I was a Dead Sea Pilot) so we'll need Alf,knowing my penchant for ye olde 8 Bells.
My Esso Roadmap (1958 ed.) now corrected to April 1st 1967.will be donated to him,as I've now found my great, great granddaughter's World Globe-well I mean its more suitable for foreign-going,should we ever dare to cast off.

Hey ho-'tis time again for me 8Bells-and Sandy,s just brought in my medication!

(Tis TABNABS from me-and Victory Vee from She. Ar!)

Was that playing with a FLAG Mike?? Or is your spelling off?
As far as I know, you are still the Galley boy. Although you never turn to.
No wonder we never have and pealed spuds.

Listen hear Den don't you be giving my job away. That Mike is the FLAG MIKE not the hard working Mike from Zummersat. He ( Flag Mike) want's to be a passenger on board. The only 'bloods' we're having are those that wear high heels and short skirts. No! I don't mean that Sail maker off the 'President' George. Nor do I want any of those dubious ones out of Singapore or Malaya.
By the way Den if Flag Mike joins the crew lets have him help you in the galley making 'Bricks', er sorry I meant tabnabs. Mike
