Lets keep it clean Taffy Bach. I'm too old to keep coming. We could call it the 'Reawakening' OR THE 'Uprising'. How about the 'Rebirth', maybe 'Old Dogs are back'. I know lets call it the 'British Merchant Navy' or possibly 'Before Maggie'. Mike

OK I'm back, would you believe I have been in reality, yes decorating, wallpaper off, walls plastered, paint work all burnt off, deckhead, and bulkheads all repainted 2 undercoats one top coat. New carpet, new curtains, new 3 piece suite, so if this is reality, I'm glad to be back to Virtuality, hey! how about that for a name, it may have shades of Everards but what the heck. So has anybody got a drink going? all that decorating and expence has left me with a raging thirst, by the way where are we and where are we going?

For Pete's sake keep quiet Percol. 'Er indoors is after me to get on with some decy work and if there's one thing I hate more than a paint brush, it's two of the buggers. I hope she doesn't see this posting of your as I could be for a month of deccy work. Mike

P.S. As regards 'Virtuality' was Everards a good feeder? Mike

Hi Mike, sorry about mentioning the D word lets hope it goes un-noticed eh? as for Everards I don't know what they were like as feeders, but we are bound to find out someone will soon blow if they were no good.
    Cheers Frank.

Many years ago, way back in time when I was first ashore, some friend of the W.R. family was a skipper on Everards. I done a 'busmans' trip on it from Barry to Swansea. Mate it was a real eye opener, I was use to NZSco where it was Mr mate this and Chief that and yes Sir no Sir. Jim'd crew called him Boss, Guv, or Skipper. As for food I think it was fairly basic. It was fun tho to get away from shore if only for 24 hrs as we missed the tide. Mike

I thought you said you knew how to load a ship! Now Taffy is blaming all the M T's. There are no M. T.'s all bottles were filled by Den and I with 'Eight Bells' which is twice as warm, twice as nice, cuts the ice but twice as strong. Den has also used some (about 5 gallons ) to mix up his latest batch of tabnabs, he's even slung in some sultanas and currants plus a few weevils to give it body.
Alright you lazy lot get yourselves topside and get the covers off as it looks as if we'll have to re arrange Gulliver's loading. His problem is his mind is to much on sex. I mean I ask you Spankers and Futtocks. The last time I saw those two they were in a strip club in Soho in the late 50's early 60's. I'm pretty sure I saw Taffy X hanging about in there with Dazy John and our estiable C/Stwd Vernon. Why you lot clear this mess up Den and I will wander ashore to check out the local talent. Any idea where we are by the way?. Mike
