No need to pay by standing order, just transfer online through your bank ,easier than writing and mailing a cheque !

I understand your mistrust of the internet with so many scams out there. There are some online only institutions over here, but the Big Five still have branches though with no where near the traffic of earlier times . They are however quite protective of their clients when using credit cards online unless ,of course , if one is absolutely careless in their use.

You will be pleased to hear that under the new Government's guidelines the 'illegal' immigrant problem has been resolved with a stroke of the pen. We no longer have illegal immigrants we have 'Regular' and 'Irregular' immigrants.

See how easy that problem was solved, it bodes well for the future!

Ivan good job the uk doesn’t have plimsols on the side as must be well overloaded by now, suppose if they did though the answer would be its due to climate change and rising waters.

Western foreign policies created the problem on migratnts crossing borders and the daft open border policy in the EU made matters worse.

#51 I agree, If the EU had restricted this to Genuine refugees ,things would have been different The Greek islands & Italy would not have been deluged by hoards of Economic migrants. This surge across Europe triggered Brexit as Politicians realised the UK would become “Rwanda” of Europe. This said if the EU including the UK had increased foreign aid to the economic migrants Countries and monitored the actual distribution of the same aid.In addition if refugees and asylum seekers had been processed swiftly and fairly at the first point of safety. Things could have been different.
Hind sight is 20/20 but not entirely blind, so we may still be able to take a similar approach if all Politicians got off their high horses and did the job we all expect of them.

Most people saw this as happening , so our so called leaders must be of a lower intelligence strata. Germany practically invited them to come. JS

Germany Chacellor Merkel, said Germany needs immigrants/migrants to come and work. Her reason was given as German citizens are not having enough children so the population was shrinking. She went on to add the influx of migrant workers paying taxes would help finance the German state pensions.
The UK is no different but part of the problem is there are a lot of people in the UK deemed by the previous government as unfit to work!!! It was a way of padding down the true unemployment figures.
I am sure there are other factors but if we want social services and pensions through our lives it has to be paid for, so there is a need for migrants, but there is not need for free loaders either. It has to be controlled. Will not get involved in the Brexit comment.
