Re: Riots in the UK
Perhaps if the likes of the South African, Canadian American Elon Musk would keep his nose out of what is happening here may help a bit.
Even his transgender daughter called him out.

Root cause disatisfaction in the UK and around the world lies at the doors of (seems to be popular name ) Fatcats who are robbing people and society blind.

Re: Riots in the UK
If the situation is that bad then the approach should have been what it was years ago re, the RN as an example for every 8 merchant ships there should be 1 warship , these are not the actual figures . For every person in the community there should be X number of police officers on the beat. Or at least with hands on obligations , our merchant ships are now almost non existant and so is our navy. By the present numbers of alien people in the community anyone up to working out the number of police officers required ? The navy is the easy one to work out, and runs true to form. !! These were good basic standards in past years , at least it showed that some people had a head on their shoulders . JS

The alien population is not the problem !!
"The foreign-born share of the population is unrelated to violent crime according to the most recent research findings" Source......The Migration Observatory
"Estimates suggest that a one percentage point increase in the asylum seeker share of the local population is associated with a 1.1% rise in property crime. Since asylum seekers accounted for only around 0.1% of the population, the macro effects were small. A one percentage point increase in the share of the population that was born in the A8 countries leads to 0.4% fall in property crime".

Re: Riots in the UK
Not a Government dept. {see below ) If we can't trust these guys all hope is lost !!
Based at the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford, the Migration Observatory provides impartial, independent, authoritative, evidence-based analysis of data on migration and migrants in the UK, to inform media, public and policy debates, and to generate high quality research on international migration and public policy issues.

Re: Riots in the UK
After reading both the threads about the murders and the riots, I'm not sure where I should have posted my response. They seem to overlap on many of the same issues. SO. I will risk posting on both and see how much trouble I get into.
Not sure I should really post an opinion as it might get Jimmy and Dougie throwing more “stuff” at each other. (I hope it is just a long standing jovial joust)
Anyway, I left the Telford area early 1970’s for many of the reasons that are being posted and complained about by many who are still living in the UK. Canada is not much different other than whatever happens in the UK happens here 10 years later.
PLEASE get that S**t sorted out so this idiot Trudeau will have a reference point.
We left because of the influx of newcomers who had no skills, no English language, and the right to take whatever they wanted regardless of who it belong to. (my mother was punched in the face trying to protect her garden) I was never an aggressive child, but I soon learned how sharp the knives are in their socks. Then my street skills developed very quickly.
Like many of you, I have lived and worked with many other nationalities, races and religious beliefs. It was pretty easy in the 60’s. People respected each other even if we didn’t like or understand them. Multi generational families of all kinds of races, colours etc, just fit together to make our own lives, and have done for centuries in the UK. It's the incoming who want everything the way it was in their own country. We welcome you with open arms, but you have to fit in here. We don't have to change for you.
I have kept close contact with “home” since I left and I’m really pi**ed that the UK pulled another 1950’s welcome mat, and opened the doors to anyone who wanted to live there. They should have learned that lesson before. So much for moving back home; there is virtually nothing, nor a reason to leave the frying pan for the fire. At least the EU passport is no more a free entry ticket.
If the videos are accurate, it is not difficult to spot the instigators. Divide and conquer. We created local groups in the 60’s to keep what was ours from being pilfered. Everyday citizens need to “take their streets back”. We have the same police selection committee problem thanks to the WOKE ways, but when citizens and police back each other up, the “little ones” can manage ok.
My local community had a street racer problem. We got together and solved the problem locally. Yes our police (RCMP) are pretty much useless, but if we show them how it’s done, maybe they will follow.

Re: Riots in the UK
I see the mayor of London says as a moo slim he doesn't feel safe walking the streets of London any more. Well now he knows how we infidels felt when his brother true believers were leaving their little parcels around our streets and buildings and hijacking transport etc etc
