Re: Sea temperature
There is talk here of sending an expedition to Antarctica to try and save thousand of Penguin chicks, as the great Ice shelf they are on is collapsing into the sea before they can learn to swim, don't thik this has happened before.

Re: Sea temperature
Des, I am sure similar has happened before, long before man knew about that part of the world.
But what will they do with the chicks,
The adults will still be required to cate for them in the correct manner.

Re: Sea temperature
Claim today that global warming is bringing an end to ski trips to Switzerland.
Reminds me of 2000 here in Oz.
We had a very bad snow season on the alps that year, Prof Cleary, an 'expert' on such matters said that is the end of snow here, never be seen again due to global warming.
Over the next 20 years snow depth increased every year with the biggest ever recorded dump ever.
He has been very quite of late.

Re: Sea temperature
Am surprised no one has mentioned a small item on google re the tilt of the earth . I don’t believe in just copying stories ad lib as most don’t know what they are talking about . The Tilt of the earth I believe I mentioned once before but most would say it bore no relevance , well why mention it otherwise as has just recently been done by a statement that the earth has only tilted less than 31.5 inches in less than 20 years . They put this down to the earths ground water. One has to pay to open the story and as I wouldn’t give the media a tosser extra for what I class as utter rubbish in most cases it is there for anyone who believes in pink elephants. Think it is under natural mechanics or some weird paper. Cheers JS

Re: Sea temperature
As my mate who spent some 40 years at the Met office has often said, tilt of the earth, proximity to the sun, movement of other planets all have a bearing om our weather conditions.
Many who want to think otherwise use that info to promoter climate change, yet none can say what the change will be or where or how.
None of the current weather patterns, bush fires, floods, hurricanes etc are new, the world has seen them all before.
When you get countries such as France saying they have records that go back as far as 1950 one must wonder at the level of intelligence there.

Re: Sea temperature
Ever since I was a kid there has been talk about making deserts gardens of Eden , yet the Sahara is still mostly a barren waste what chances for the world ? The only Nation with living proof for irrigation is Israel which they put in the man hours for. The most that can be likely attainable will be a better air condition suitable for asthmatics which I agree with and always have. If man can think he can juggle with orbital paths of other heavenly bodies and thus think he can adjust the climatic conditions of his own , let him carry on dreaming. Cheers JS
