Re: Service
Never listen to their ravings they are a bunch of self seeking persons out for. What they imagine will give them more. Control. Is politically controlled as usual. Anyone who would prefer a dictatorial president every 4 years as head of state as to a non political entity that. Has been there hundreds of years and are trained for the ceremony's expected of such, must be brain damaged in my opinion. JWS

Re: Service
Would soon develop into a banana republic and finish up like most. Venuezala being a good example. Where the president takes it into his own hands to make the laws and dictates. Don't think it wouldn't happen. As said previous would go for a republic only on the dismantling of the Commonwealth which will happen on the loss of the Crown which will follow on if the uk stay in Europe. The world would then go back 75 years and pick up where the Fuehrer left off, he must be laughing his head off whatever purgatory he now resides in. JWS

How different the world would be today if the Japanese had not attacked Pearl Harbour

Re: Service
Japan was also on conquest then as had already made inroads into China and believe Korea. They missed the carriers at Pearl Harbour so that had a bearing on the future also. The world has never had a lasting peace. I wonder why ? The Korean conflict may even yet last longer than the 100 years war with France. JWS

Re: Service
Without the attack the Americans would not have entered the war.
I may have been writing this from the German European Republic.

Re: Service
Hi Louis, the Americans would have entered the War eventually as Hitler aeronautical team was developing rockets that could attack the US West coast.
They were also developing long range bombers with the task of bombing the USA.

Re: Service
In the wartime archives it said Churchill believed we were losing the war and was desperately trying to get the U.S. involved.

Re: Service
Louis, its a well known fact if Hitler had have invaded the UK instead of turning East, we would all be speaking and writing in German.
No one knows why he turned east and this eventually proved disastrous for him.

He thought that Britain would calipulate as easy as France and the low countries, was well aware that the USA had no interest in a European conflict so Britain would be bereft of any support and that Finland would be his an ally against Russia, thus calculating he had enough forces to win in two theatres of operation at the same time, alas he miscalculated going against the advice of his generals and military strategists who for self preservation agreed with the corporals strategy
