Oh hum Captain, here we go AGAIN! Re your post #. 37
I don't know where you dig up this drivel. You posted once before about Valerie Jarret being a ***lim and I answered you and gave you her background and you gave me a 'thank you' for it. It's so very easy to verify information these days, that is of course if you want to verify. Just type in the name on your search engine and add a question mark...Valerie Jarret?... John Brennen?.... You will get some rubbish, but it's so easy to sort out the truth. If your not sure how to do that then try Wikipedia, Snopes, politifact etc.
First off the U.S. is not a Christian country and never was. The U.S. is a secular country. We do not have a national religion and never had. The founding fathers did not wish to go down the same sordid route that other countries have gone and are going. Protestant vs Catholic, Sunni vs Shia, Hindu vs ******, etc. etc.. We do not have a national religion (as in C of E). Our head of state is free to be what ever he or she wishes to be.
When congressmen or senators are sworn in there is no book used, they just take the pledge of allegiance to up hold the constitution, standing as they raise their right hand (as do cops, soldiers and so on when being sworn in). Later, in a separate room, many pose being sworn in over a book, perhaps a family bible held by a family member or whom ever, Torah, Koran, the Constitution with or without the U.S. flag in the b.g., what ever. Not even the President MUST use a Christian bible when being sworn in. The presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is Jewish and should he win the election he could use the Jewish old testament if he so desired. I repeat we are a secular nation.
We start (again) with Valerie Jarret's parents: Dr. James E. Bowman and Barbara Taylor Bowman (both American born). Dr. Bowman worked in Iran between the late 1950s and early 1960s serving as Chair of Pathology at Namazzee Hospital in Shiraz. Valerie Bowman was born in Shiraz and the family returned to the United States when she was six years old. Her birth was registered at the U.S. Consulate, she is an American citizen and she is not a ***lim. (Snopes, Wikipedia, et al.)
I worked and lived in Iran for almost four years, my former wife and three sons lived there too. None of us are ***lims.
John Brennan:
Anybody involved with the nations security are thoroughly vetted by the F.B.I. before being hired or confirmed, not just ***lims, but Christians or atheists too. In addition to stringent security checks, John Brennan had to be confirmed by Congress.
"John Brennan is not and never was a ***lim. This rumor was spread by a far right wing nut case called Glen Beck, (TV and radio personality). John Brennan was sworn in on a copy of the United States Constitution." (Snopes, Wikipedia et al.)
"The initial charge of this rumor about him converting to ***** has been traced to an ex-F.B.I. agent who resigned after being caught out in a sexual relationship with a key confidential source in the midst of a corruption investigation of a Louisiana politician. He is making a career out of making outlandish claims to the Republican far-right wing-nuts about Democrats." (Snopes).
Huma Abedin is a ***lim. She was born in Michigan to ***lim Indian parents. She is American by birth and is married to a former congressman from New York, Anthoney Wienna, who is of the Jewish faith. (Snopes, Wikipedia et al).
The others you mentioned are also ***lim, so what? The United States is a heterogeneous secular nation. We are free to worship any god or gods we want to, or no gods at all, and we Americans come from all countries. I stand ten times more chances to be killed by an Evangelical anti-abortian Christian than I do by a M**lim in America. I'm sure you stand 10-1 chances of being punched out or stabbed by a drunken Christian football lout than a ***lim. The larger percentage of Americans claim to be of German-American ancestry by the way, and not of British or Irish stock. (U.S. census).
This whole article you so reverently quoted is a load of right wing nutcases rubbish. I have a lot of respect for you captain but it is shaken by your continuous posting of crap like this. And coming from a member of 'Friends' of your calibre some of the less intellectual are likely to take this garbage as factual. Or is that your intent?
There is all sorts of rubbish out on the internet and other sources, let us play a little game. You served for a few years in the U.S. Merchant Marine. You came ashore and emigrated to the United Kingdom. You fell in love with Britain, became a citizen lived happily for fifty odd years and was very proud to call yourself British. You contacted an association called 'Friends of the U.S. Merchant Marines' simply because you had some fond memories of your M.N. times.
On the site there is a member we will call 'galley-boy'. He professes to like the British and stops over frequently en-route to his favorite vacation spot. Yet he posts things like the following as though they are factual.
The Globe. April 4-10, 2016
•Charles and Camilla's secrete son found: Exclusive world interview with the true heir to the throne.
QUOTE: "Form your own conclusion." (from your post #37).
QUOTE: "I hope everybody reads this and it sinks in!" (from your post #37).
The Globe is a tabloid that is published weekly and sold to Cretans in our supermarkets, on a magazine stand, as one checks-out. Each week it has lurid headlines and color photos. The sight of Charles and Camilla's photo made me take a second glance. Now I'm sure that the ignoramus', that read this crap, will now pass it on that there's someone going to usurp William's heritage.
QUOTE: "Common sense doesn't grow on trees" (from your post #37).
Another piece of breaking news, did M.I.16 vet the following
•
Elections
7 May 2010 The New Statesman
"Rejoice! The number of ****** MPs has doubled" (in bold headline, front page).
The number of ****** MPs has doubled to eight in the closest elections in decades and saw the first three ****** women -- all Labour -- elected to the 650-member House of Commons.
In addition, the Conservatives have gained their first two ****** MPs, but the possibility of adding a third was dashed after Zahid Iqbal failed in overturning Labour's 3,000 majority in Bradford West, northern England.
Over 90 ****** candidates of various political persuasions stood in the general election, including 22 women.
•LONDON // A record number of ****** MPs - including the first women - will take their seats when the new House of Commons convenes in London on Tuesday. After what the ****** Council of Britain described as a "momentous" election, the number of ****** MPs has doubled to eight, including the first Conservatives.
• etc. etc. etc.
Continuing:
U.S. statistics Pew Research Center, authored by Besheer Mohammed, Senior Researcher on Religion:
***lims in America. 2015. 3.3 million of all ages live in the U.S. (1.1% per cent of the population).
Jews by religion 5.7 million
Hindus 2.1 million.
"There has been little net change in the size of the American ***lim population in recent years. About 1 in 5 American ***lim adults were raised in different faiths or non at all and are converts. About as many American ***lims leave the faith as join *****."
United Kingdom, Wikipedia et al.
2011 British ***lims statistics:
England 2.6 million (5.2% of the population).
Scotland 0.76 million (1.45%)
Wales 0.46 million (1.50%)
N.I. 0.038 million (0.21%)
Total U.K. 2.76 million (4.5% of the population). or four time more than in the U.S.A. as a percentage of the population.
So percentage wise the U.K. have a larger population of ***lims than the U.S. does, and more politicians too.
