Re: Democracy
This is true democracy
Imagine that throughout your life you have held the views of a left wing socialist expounding Marxist views. You live in a country that has a monarchy that you want to get rid of, it is a capitalist free market economy that has a proud tradition of defending the rights of freedom of speech and is a defender of the Christian faith and has for hundreds of years has fought against dictators that have slaughtered millions of people of a certain religion and even today are attempting to halt the influx and influence of a radical form of religion into your and other countries adjoining you along and have also managed to overcome in recent years a bitter terrorist war between two factions of Christianity within your own borders.
So what do you do and how do you live in such a country.
Well of course you get yourself elected as leader of HER MAJESTY'S OPPOSITION party in that country and then say you will
Honour the terrorists that fought in the war within your borders
Allow more of those with radical non Christian views to enter your country
Strengthen the hand of and remove any restraints on Unions within that country that in the past have almost brought that country to its knees economically with strikes that most of its members did not support
Break down one of the largest wealth producing institutions resident in that country
Reduce its defence forces to point where it will no longer be able to protect its citizen's
and to cap it all
Insult all those brave servicemen and women who lost there life defending that country when it was in danger of being overrun by a mad dictator by refusing to sing that countries national anthem at a memorial service to all those men and women.
Yet despite all of this you expect the citizens of that country to vote you and your party into power at the next general election.
NOW THAT IS TRUE DEMOCRACY as practised by one of the biggest fools in U.K. politics today.

Re: Democracy
Quite right John
I too noticed that Corbyn at a Cathedral honouring and remembering all those brave men who saved our country, refusing to sing the National Anthem. What an Insult to those Brave Men, the man is a creep. to say it politely.
I am also surprised to see him enter the Cathedral, with him being Atheist.
.
I also noticed at the Labour Meeting and the TUC, Corbyn sang " We will keep the Red Flag Flying High."
so nothing wrong with his voice there. If he likes Communism so much he could always go and live in North Korea.
He has some daft and stupid ideas, He wants to give the Falkland Islands to Argentina. Does he not know anything?
All those Dead Soldiers, Dead Airmen , Dead Royal Navy Men, Dead British Merchant Seamen who died saving the Falklands from the Argies.
Is this the man some daft Labour supporters want to rule our country??
I guess so.

Re: Democracy
Brian you have stated Corbyn is an atheist would it not be a bit hypocritical of him to sing God Save the Queen,if he doesn't believe.Did you notice he didn't wear a tie and the jacket he was wearing didn't match the trousers tut tut tut.Thats the kind of rubbish the media are putting out.

Re: Democracy
Interesting bit on the net today concerning Germany and non citizens who may be living there. The EU court has ruled that if non citizens living there are unemployed for more than six months and not looking for work then their benefits may be cut by 50%. Will the same apply to UK and all other members?

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Democracy
The Labour Party have just issued a statement saying Mr Corbyn will sing the National Anthem in future. Many MP's in his own party have brought pressure to bear.
