Re: Pirates of the past.
John in Oz,
Yes the Gideons do, also the Mormons. It's only by the owners consent though, as it's private property, if it was public property, no.
John Marriott, owner of the Marriott chain is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) and may do as he please in HIS hotels.
Private property is protected in our Bill of rights, under the Amendment l. of the Constitution. Freedom of speech etc..
Cheers, Rodney

Re: Pirates of the past.
I saw some rather disturbing figures today regarding immigration. The number of immigrants to UK from Oz, NZ, Canada and South Africa have falen by over 50%, there has been a similar fall in numbers from India. However the number coming in from EU countries is up by some 200%.
I know I am an ex pat and as such have nothing to do with UK now, but it was my birthplace and the country in which I grew up. Yes I left there, but that does not mean I do not think of her. I still have relations there and they have to endure the conditions. It saddens me greatly when i her some of the storie sof how things are there now, considering thta ta one time the British empire covered almost half the globe and now you are reduced to being a subject of some head cases in Brussels. I doubt USA or Oz would put up with the conditions you now have, but I fear that unless something is done in the next year or so you will become captive to an ever growing club of which you will become a minor player.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
