just been watching old pirate movie on u tube this came up about righti think the meeker the man he be snug in his armchair far from the sea and reason commends his position he has all the fun and none of the woes masters the ladies and scuttles the foes and cheats both the noose and pandition black beard anon

"The beatings will continue until discipline is restored" printed on one of the TEE shirts I used to wear at sea when greeting new crew members. That plus the Jolly Roger flag always meant I had very little crew problems
