Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
Tony Blair has been out of government since 2007 so how much longer do we have to carry his legacy it would appear that we are stuck with it until Kingdom Come by the way some commentators talk. What we need is someone with balls todo something about it and whilst there is a co-allition between what ever parties nothing will change because both parties will never agree.Nick Clegg is a liability.
Regards.

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
In my humble opinion none of the current party leaders or their deputies have got any b***** between them.
We need someone with vision and courage to stand up to the bullies of the EU. We all know if you stand up to a bully they will normally turn their back on a fight.
I have said it before and I'll say it again, the only way to get the EU to listen, is to withhold payments, then they will listen.

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
Or as I have said before, and had bollockings over it, Use europe as a Nuclear testing ground.
Now before eurofiles complain about that statement. The french used Tahiti as a nuclear testing ground and they are still suffering the effects of it, When the Tahitians complained they sent in the french Foreign Legion to beat them up. So if that is what the french want they cannot complain if we did it to them.

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
Hi Rob
The prevailing winds blow from the West, so the fall out would spread across europe and you would be safe in Pompy.
I give you my word on that. If there is a wind change you will have to come and live in Bolton a Lovely place of international repute.
Cheers, Brian

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
Quite a good article in the Express on Sunday by Michael Ferrari who quite rightly lays the blame for all our European woes on the tosspot bandmaster Heath who got us into Europe by lying to us about the deal he had signed up to in order for us gain entry into Europe. So here we are some 40 odd years on with still no politician beyond Maggie, with enough gumption to stand up to the Eurocrats and fight our corner. Instead they all just roll over and let the un-elected European Commissioners kick us in the ******** while they lie down and fail to heed the voters wishes.
Regarding immigration, despite what any U.K. politician says about immigration (legal or illegal) they should heed what the frogs in Calais say. All these migrants wanting to come to the U.K. has nothing to do with the prospect of work and/or a better life, it's just that they see the U.K. population of kind, caring and benevelant people as giving them the most BENIFITS, without them having to pay anything themselves. So until we stop ALL immigration and benefits, stick two fingers up to Europe and rule our country the way WE want it ruled, we are stuck with all the dross of Europe wanting to come here. Regarding the Rumanians etc. when ever any of them are caught in criminal acts, requests for their criminal history from Rumania or Bulgaria are not forthcoming from their native police, so they end up being released on bail with a slapped wrist and can then carry on their criminal activities such as targeting the elderly, prostitution, running illegal immigration scams etc.
But at least one judge in Sheffield ( I think) has seen the light and is sentencing all foreign criminal's who come before him and are proven guilty, to jail terms and says the do-gooders in the Human Rights brigade can moan all they want, just because they are foreign does not mean they should be treated differently than any other criminal who comes before him and is proven guilty of the charges against him...more power to his elbow I say.
