Hi Shipmates, The Romanians are just scape -goats before them it was many others? the U,K. will be over run with crime/gangs / pick-pockets / beggars and they all will claim our benefits ? as soon as they get off the bus all nasty lies put about by the media and some government minsters who need your vote to stay on ? or join the gravy train, The truth is the U.K. is the E.U. dumping ground and will be for some time due to wise policys by some member states of the E.U to get shot of they unemployed workers there by sending them here are plenty of low payed jobs waiting for them in the U.k. They will do the unskilled jobs no one wants less then min wage and no working conditions and no sick pay. and go back with money in they pockets

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
Bulgarian President is complaining that Cameron is trying to limit immigration from Bulgaria,
He just wants to get rid of all the bums and stiffs and Criminals of his country into ours.
Britain is becoming the Cess Pit and Midden of europe. It is time we `bombed` europe with leaflets , to show them who won the war for them, who got rid of the Dictators of europe, Now they are Dictating to us. It is an EVIL organisation. They have very short memories, a million of our people died keeping those berstereds out and now they are flooding in.
I have my own embargo on all european goods, never ever buy spanish,. french, german, italian wines or veggies or any other produce. Not even Cadburys chocolate, now made in poland. Will never ever go on holiday to froggy france or spain or any where else in europe.

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
i think the tories bring these people in to overlad the NHS. as it was a scheme invented by the labour party, the tories want to get rid of it and make everyone pay for treatment. they are only interested in money making schemes.

Hi Alf, the NHS is pretty good, I have only waited 35 days [5 weeks] for my appointment to see my doctor to see if my skin cancer has cleared.
and he was an Indian.

Social Security Benefits in Bulgaria
Find out about your obligations and entitlements under Bulgaria's social welfare system...
Bulgarian social security covers health insurance, pensions, unemployment benefits, maternity and child benefits and allowances, sickness and death benefits.
The social security system in Bulgaria consists of:
Mandatory state social security (задължително държавно обществено осигуряване) with four separate funds:
Common Diseases and Maternity Fund
Pensions Fund
Labour Accidents and Professional Diseases Fund
Unemployment Fund
Mandatory health insurance (задължително здравно осигуряване)
Additional obligatory pension insurance (допълнително задължително пенсионно осигуряване)
Contributions to the above-mentioned social security schemes are made by employers, employees, self-employed and the state.
Eligibility
Information on who is eligible for Bulgaria's social security measures:
EU/EEA and Swiss citizens
As Bulgaria is a member state of the European Union, social security schemes are generally transferable between countries and benefits can be received on the basis of foreign insurance. Foreign social insurance is proven by the relevant E-forms taken from the social security institutions of the applicant's home country.
Non-EU/EEA and Swiss citizens
Some foreign social insurance will be accepted by Bulgarian institutions if the person's country has signed international treaties in the field of social security with the Republic of Bulgaria.
Mandatory Health Insurance
Healthcare in Bulgaria is provided by the National Health Insurance Fund. It is compulsory for all residents to contribute to this fund and is essential for obtaining a National Health Insurance card (Амбулаторна здравна карта), which must be presented to the doctor or dentist at each visit. Individuals with mandatory health insurance cover are entitled to emergency care throughout Bulgaria and can choose a doctor and a dentist with a contract with the regional health insurance fund.
Unemployment Benefits
Information about social security benefits paid to the unemployed in Bulgaria...
Unemployment benefits are paid by the National Social Security Institute (Национален осигурителен институт). Applicants must file for benefits at their local office.
In order for a person to be eligible for unemployment benefits (обезщетение за безработица) in Bulgaria they must have been working and making social insurance contributions for at least 9 out of the last 15 months. Registration at the local Employment Office is also a requirement. The person is expected to be actively looking for a job and ready to accept the first suitable job offer as there is a limited period during which unemployment benefits are paid.
The period of time for which an unemployed person can receive benefits varies according to the length of time (including maternity/paternity/sick leave) the applicant worked and made social insurance contributions.
Each month the NSSI transfers the benefit for the previous month directly to the person's bank account.
So let us be fair , all we should do is comply with the above

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
What we all seem to forget it was Tony Bliar that signed the agreement allowing free movement of people to the UK.
Most countries signed a seven year moratorium restricting access, bu good old Bliar said no, let them in.
There is not a lot in law that the UK can do, as we again under Bliar and Golden ******** we signed away a lot of sovereignty to the EU.
So to blame the Tories for the mess is a bit disingenuous.

Re: The Romanians Are Coming.
There should be a way of cancelling any previous governments agreements, so if we do not like a government we vote them out, BUT it seems that we are stuck with their cock ups.
A new government should be able cancel them and create a new one for the benefit of our nation or it is a waste of time getting rid of the previous one if we are stuck with their mistakes.
If one government signed us into the eu then the next government should be able to cancel it. simple.
Is that what they call democracy??? if it is then I do not like democracy.
Brian.
