I liked the Police at one time but went off them when Sting went solo.

Slightly off subject but an example of how some people think. There is a plan for a second casino in Sydney, almost approved. A member of the anti gambling brigade, a clergyman, says it must be stopped as there are too many problem gamblers. He then went on to say, it is the governmenst responsibility to make sure these people with gambling problems are helped, it is a gov responsibilty to look after these people.
Maybe I am a bit off the mark here but I thought we were all responsible for our actions and nothing to do with the gov. Too many take the easy way out and blame the gov for every thing from the weather to the price of drugs!

Thin edge four
Hi shipmates, I had my posted vote card today, How much extra will this new police boss cost me? and what areas' will have any real police? or will every where be rent a cop?{Happy john in oz} The last government Labour wanted super casinos' in every major city in the U.K. with free drinks /food for punters and top class entertiment for all , This would have brought many new jobs but this was stopped , WHY because the social cost would have been far worst then any benifits !!! they think tank worked it out debt and crime , vice and family breakdown would have gone up by 200% + in any area the same as the U.S.A. The result no super casinos or jobs because many people in the U.K. cant control themselfs and need help .
