donald trump
I watched the programme on TV last night, re Donald Trump and the golf course in Scotland. bearing in mind that we only saw one side of the argument, but how can the Scottish government over ride the local council on destroying the sand dunes, and compulsory purchase of local peoples house to create a golf course. This was an example of bully boy tactics by a bully from America, and they gave him an honourable degree from Aberdeen university!!!!, if half of what you saw on TV was true, it was gangster tactics, cutting of water to local homes etc. I went to bed with my blood pressure sky high again, regards KT

This is not the fault of D. Trump, but rather the Scotish gov for agreeing to his request.

Sadly money talks. One of our local itinerant rag-heads, and we have quite a few round here, wanted to do all sorts of building works, alter the course of a waterway, put a ten foot high fence and security corridor around the whole property. Council says no as would drive a coach and horses through planning reg's. Rag-head pulls out chequebook says " New community centre OK"? and we then find this particular gentleman is no longer subject to the same rules as the rest of us.

What an egomaniac Trump is changes wives like a pair of socks , he often is refered to as a self made man . his father started the real estate business that he took over . true it made him rich . but with all the right connections that his father had .

As Usual money talks.
He will get his fall soon.
The people up there just like the island folk will let it go on for so long, then all hell will break out.
He is doing things that are unlawful and not on the plans that were passed. He is being childish by moving eartyh to block peoples view.
Time he grew up.
Some of the things that have been done were to be stopped by the Scottish goverment, but overruled by london.
All the things you saw are true.
As access to some peoples homes are near his ground he is going to give them a pass to go to their homes.Thats good of him as they travel on common ground and they own their own homes.
He is also trying to stop windmill Hydro out at sea as his power golfers will see them .
He has no chance, he will have all scots against him soon.

I +-normally have strong objections on several grounds to off shore wind farms , as their only economical justification is grant linked , but this one I would vote for . I am amazed that the SNP are supporting this man , how can they really believe that he is creating local jobs for local people , I wonder if Alec Salmon is that stupid , If Scotland votes him the Independence that he wants so much , I think we better start repairing Hadrian's Wall before they all start migrating south . I thgought that Highland Clearances were over , now the SNP are doing them , UN Bloody Believable

I have now seen this programme and have to admit to cringeing at the fact any person in the UK could be treated like this. If this is a taste of an independent Scotland and Salmons private police force then I'm glad to be English. As for the Scottish government being over-ruled by London I saw no reference to this in the documentary but if anyone can furnish me with details I would be more than happy to register my discontent with the department/ministry concerned.
There will be no jobs for local people as they will be filled by east Europeans. Neither can I see the hotel sourcing their produce locally, it will all be delivered by the likes of 3663 or one of the other big chains. Oh well, if you sup with the devil.
As for people flying across the Atlantic for a game of golf and then flying back the government should put a swingeing environmental tax on their plane tickets that is ringfenced to try and repair some of the environmental damage these cretins are doing. Sorry, just realised that is not going to happen because Trump "owns" Salmon and the SNP.
