You guys should be over here in the midst of the elections ,its bloody ridiculous ,all telling lies about the other .and spending hundreds of millions on tv adds to get votes of idiots who decide at the last minute who they like .and flip flop all over the candidates .I could never understand why a multi millionare wants a job that pays $400 K .when he,s already getting 20 million in unearned income ,and only pays 14 % in capital gains tax .I find that American politics is becoming more and more about them, and not the people . seems that they just want power after they are rich. it costs the government millions after they leave the white house with security for the rest of thier lives and thier wives after they die . at least hillary is working . but the Bushes are just hangers on , and who ruined USA ,along with Reagans policies.gorra go get another brew to calm me down . tarra der lads

Once you have multi-millions it only leaves one thing to crave for, it's called being in the history books.

Cheers, Lt. Col. Rodney, Alabama Malitia (ret'd.) I have the military rank, a descent C.V., but alas I'm retired so no chance of the multi- millions, maybe one chance...Lotto!

Power uis the answer, all politicians are the same. The power thet get and the abilty to tell the people what is best for them! Good or bad they get into the history books and the argument continues as to who is good or bad. I liked GW Bush and that may put m ein a minority but thta is how it goes. I could not stand Clinton, as I considered him to b eunreliable, again my opinion. But the fact is if you have enough money you can do almost anything you like, others may not like it but what the heck, you are in charge!

Not knowing stuff all about US politics but tend to think that the reason for multi billionaires wanting to take over the top job is more about being in charge of the rule book than benifits for the population. Personally I would like to see BoB get the job because can see another war kicking of with Iran if the other mob gets in. But as I said not got a clue about the USA mob and not much better with the UK lot but what you do not realise is that who ever you put in power also wields the power here in Oz because all party's here have not got a clue other than monkey see monkey do.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

I like you don't follow the politician's,s in the states, I do what i do here i listen to there manifest before the elections? Then after there term pass judgment on what they have delivered for Joe public, Not how much they have done for keeping down interest rates/ Taxes/ ETC... Because at the end of the day m8 no big corporation is going to feel the hurt its Joe public that gets stabbed in the back. I also don't want Obama to get or deserve another term. He has let the people down he promised to help so in my opinion has failed. Romney is slightly ahead in the poll,s at present and when i hear Black Americans from the deep south on t.v. saying they would not vote for Obama again something is wrong in his camp. As for team GB As in Cameron and co they are having a reshuffle tomorrow ????????????? See who is the best man amongst the select committee to take Camerons polocies forward into there second term and finish the good work the first Minister,s have created gr8 record so far over 2 year,s + down the line borrowing UP/ unemployment UP/ Imigration UP/ poverty amongst the young sick and elderly up/ millionairs wages as in a £45.000 increase through tax reductions UP/ fuel at the pumps UP/ Fuel bills UP/ GROWTH zero?/ suicide amongst 25yr olds and younger UP/ defence cuts UP/ health N.H.S. CUTS up/ Joe public about to get another decrease in there living standards next April UP. So all in all Les i think this country of our,s needs Cameron at the helm right now. As much as the Titanic needed Lord Ismay down Captain Smiths ear hole ignoring ice warnings. But not to worry we are all in this togeather m8 the reshuffle will make it all better tomorrow. They will double what the first crew done bye the end of this coalitions term. And then when Cameron seeks reolection if he has the plumbs to stand hopefully he will get his plumbs shoved right UP his jacksie. Regard,s buddy Terry.

Heard today that the 17 nations of EU have again contracted as far as production goes, but unexpectedly UK is up in growth for the quarter. Some one must be doing something right!

I have lived in the USA for the last 47 years and one of the worst presidents was Reagan , he changed the welfare system from the individual states too the social security fund that everyone pays into , for retirement benefits ,and had a huge surplus . the social system here was doing very well until the republicans saw a great grab bag of money ,now its become insolvent , all there will be left is a bunch of IOU,s .the Bush crowd got us into 2 wars , with saddam suposedly hiding weapons of mass destruction . wich were given too him by the US during the Iran Iraq war . I believe that the war against Iraq was started to protect Isreal from Saddam who shot some scud missiles over into isreal.any way if Romney gets into power here I would be afraid of him starting a war with Iran ,also to protect Isreal.sad to say that Isreal is in a very precarious position amongst a bunch of enemies .we in the US are still in the down turn created by the bush crowd ,and will take some time to get back to prosperity ,if we ever can .I will vote again for Obama as at least hes trying , and not a warmonger .
