New member Hello
Hi I've just come across this site www.merchant-navy.net. My dad was in the Merchant Navy but never spoke about it apart from him waking up in a Leeds Hospital one time. He passed away in 1994 and I would like to try and find out anything about his time during the war. His brief comments where not good as I think he did the Atlantic Crossings via South America. We would spend a lot of time at the memorials in the Pier Head Liverpool as kids with him but never understood why. I would appreciate any kind of help you could offer in helping me find any type of information about him or the ships he was on. Thanks Colin Jack Chorley's son.

Re: New member Hello
Hi Colin, start with date and place of birth, his wife's name etc, have you any of his papers, if so look for a six digit number beginning with 'R', any scrap of information helps, no matter how seemingly trivial, help us to help you. Good luck in your endeavours

Hello Colin
Welcome to the site,i hope you have some luck in your quest!
As said as much info as possible will give all here something more to go on!
I have just looked at the NA and wondering if this would possibly be your Dad,s Seaman,s Pouch!
If it is then you could order it and at least make a start !
His CRS10 will however hold more info!
Cheers
