may need a bit more to jog memories David, like a nickname, ships sailed on, in what capacity etc, as we often didn't know our shipmates surnames, only time we saw them was on Lifeboat and fire station positions posted up in the alleyways and instantly forgotten with words such as 'bluddy hell who would have thought that chippie was called Marmaduke Ponsonby'
