I am glad that we have agreed to supply the Ukraine something to fight with. On the news last night there were scenes from very trusted reporters from several channels at the front, and live photos of dead civilians , some with hands tied and been shot, some under tyres and partially burned, some in cars, all been shot, unless someone can convince me that this is a staged scene, surely, we cannot all stand back and wash our hands at what is going on.

    hi john cassels #410
good morning, its good to view this clip once again showing mr farage speaking the truth, and showing the european union in all their wisdom, jeering, mocking and abusing him for his outrageous claims, Whilst in the ukraine the american ambassador and delegates from the eu and the uk had promised the ukraine people that if they uprise and depose of their legally elected goverment then they could join the european union imediately and have all the benifits of the western democracies and be protected by nato, is anybody really surprised in how this turned out.

Yes Thomas , I would opine this is nearer the truth than what the media would have us believe. I think that Mr.Zelensky uses the fog of war to much effect and his propoganda
has convinced some members of this forum that Putin is the bad guy and Russia the evil state - come what may.

That statement could have come straight from the editorial page of The Morning Post-or on a red-bordered statement from the inner sanctum of the Kremlin at UK Labour Party HQ.......

About thirty% of the Ukraine are Russian people, during the Second world war many Ukraine men fought with the Germans, giving up partisans etc. It is very possible that the people found with their hands tied and shot could be Ukrainian Russians, maybe not, we don't know. The same with the stories of Ukraine children being taken to Russia, maybe it was for safety. As my fasther told me don't believe everything you read and only half of what you hear.
As for being pleased that Britain is supplying arms to the Ukraine that is a a very dangerous move in what is really a civil war.

Most of these countries in Europe a large amount of the populace gave allegiance to Nazi Germany , one of the largest was France itself. The stories you read after the war about the Marquis and other so called freedom fighters. Your father was a wise man when he told you don’t believe everything you hear or read. There always has to be a believable excuse for any wrongdoing otherwise they would all be out of a job. I had an uncle who was an RASC driver and on the retreat to Dunkirk he told me his nightmares on that so called victory in retreat , they were told to stop for nothing , and they did literally mowing down retreating civilians blocking the highways ,women and children included , when he died in later years he died a very disallusioned man. The newspapers then would not have printed such stories . Today is no different. There are no heroes in war , only dead and disallusioned people who will have it on their conscience until the day they die. JS

All I have been trying to put across for some time now is that there are always two sides to a story and my above statement is part of that. Every day appear reports of a dubious
nature - the fog of war.

And Des , your #418 , again a good post

It would be interesting to hear from the people who are , or seem to be supporting Russia here, what do they think should be the action that taken by us ??, should we just sit back and watch a whole country and its people be destroyed, with the atrocities being carried out ??, and then sit back and congratulate ourselves on our actions ??, and just let all the countries on the border with Russia live in fear. We could have done just that with Hitler remember him ?. Will be interesting to hear, kt

Putin visits a fortune teller and asks her, " what will happen in the near future."

She says; "I see you riding in a limousine through a large crowd, the people are happy, laughing and cheering, jumping for joy, hugging each other and all have big smiles on their faces!"

Putin asks her; "Am I waving at them?!?"

"No," she says, "the coffin is closed........!"

AS to UK, Oz or any other nation supplying arms to Ukraine is fine in principal , but it give Putin the excuse to say we are now at war with the West.
This is mainly a civil war between Ukraine and Russia.
In such was as was evident in the 90's during the Yugoslav war some terrible things will happen.
Then it was ethnic cleansing, now it is an attempt to obliterate certain sections of the Ukraine population by any means.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.
