This is true for all wars throughout the ages. Leaders and the elite start the wars but it's the ordinary folk that suffer .

To be a dictator and a despot it is not the job one retires from gracefully , and joins the local bowling club. Its usually a job you die in and won’t give it up. There is nowhere to go. There are no more ambitious targets to reach, If he expects statues to be made in his honour I think he may be thinking that one is out. Let’s hope he doesn’t try to make all the other statues over the world of other different minded people , he doesn’t try to reduce to rubble with his threats , of bigger and better bombs. Just in spiteful pique . No State Funeral just a box with no headstone would be my choice for him. JS

My choice for him would be the same as Bin Laden, a lead shroud, and dropped by aircraft in an unknown position, far out to sea, completely away from those who worship him, kt

Thinking back Keith Bin Lid at one time was also being financed by you know who, when he was resisting the Russians in Afghanastan . All these third world countries change their hats to suit the circumstances. The same as the one in Iraq who was at odds with Iran. Politics is a hard thing to keep up with. Hitler changed his agreement with Stalin otherwise Russia may have also been at odds with Europe alongside of him. The world could be a totally different place today if not for the quirks and bad management of our so called politicians and some of the decisions they make. Good or Bad we are stuck with them. JS.

There are reports in various media outlets tat Putin is recruiting Syrian Mercenaries (p o 30,000) for hand to hand fighting when a Ukrainian city is captured.
Thats one genie that we don't want out.

Seen that report as well Vic The west will be the only one capable of stopping him and hope it’s not a case of fiddling while Rome burns. JS..

Reminiscent of Hungary 1956 when most of the Western world seemed to ignore the plight of the people being invaded by a powerful Russian army. That didn't end well.

I'm surprised he hasn't asked George Bush and Tony Blair for help, they are from the same mould, except that they were in a bigger killing league.
