#139 I stuttered as a child Rodney and still did up to the time I went to sea , then I had it knocked out of me. I agree it is a terrible affliction, today one would get remedial aid , there was no one worse than me . Getting the first word out was the hardest and once started darent stop. Maybe the sign Of a good politician, maybe I missed my vocation in life. JS

There are many jokes about stuttering but if you stutter everyone has a barb to it and really hurts a stutterer or past stutterer , as there are always remnants of memory there. One joke was a father and son were walking down the street , the son stuttered and the father walked with a limp due to having one leg shorter than the other. Son to father Dddddaaaddddd iiiive gotttta a cuuure fooor yooouur lliiiimp. What’s that son says the father. Wwwwwalk wwwwith oooone lllleg iiin theee guuuutttter Andd one one paaaavement . He did so and a 49 bus came along and ran over him .
    .
Son goes to see him in hospital laid in bed arms and legs in traction and his head all bandaged .hooow aaare yooou Daaad he says . Son says the father I’ve been lying here thinking of ways to cure your stutter and think I’ve got it, Whaats thatttt Daaaad says the son . Keep your effing mouth shut says the father. JS

    Hi Rod.
I know that in these times there will be more than the usual Rubbish on TV, {So far they have refrained from baby's on bayonets} but it wasn't my observation about Biden, my DR came out with it out of the blue, and since then some DR on a talk back on TV has said the same.
I'm no DR so I wouldn't know, only that he seems very slow to what he was when elected.

First Des, I do not know what your reference DR stands for, I assume not Doctor (Dr.). I see no change Des. I watched his State of the Union address (one hour speech) he stumbled over about four words, three I caught the words, they started two with P and one with s, actually the most problems are caused with words starting with these letters'

Sorry JSW but you are the first I have heard had stuttering beat out of them. Not being a macho tough guy, I would start crying and call for my mummy, except other than the method of birth delivery, I never had much of a mother. So I prefer the method taken with me, kind temporary foster parents, and speech lessons.

The bottom line is, You could imagine the uproar on this site if I started dumping on Australia's, Canada's, and the UK's leader with only the faintest idea what they stand for, but strictly that I understood who was left and who was right.

I defy anybody to dig up a post of mine, from the ten years plus I have been a member when I have taken a shot at your respective leaders. I have dropped out for a couple of years, tired of the USA being a convenient whipping boy when you have run out of sea shanties and I have gone on "walk about" Well I think it's time for me to pack my swag again.

    Hello Rodney
While i do know of the past History of your trials and Tribulations on here, i would ask that you not take certain post to Heart, we all get a bit peeved at times with things that are said but mainly they are just Tongue in cheek, and not meant against anyone in Particular!

If you think you need a short Break, well thats all in order and your choice , may be good for the Soul too, but just make it a short Walkabout , and rejoin the Banter soon.

We are all getting older and sillier as we age i am sure, but as said its mostly just Talk! No harm meant i am sure!
Cheers Have a nice Break!! Hope the Sun is shining there , as Boy! its damn Wet here with so much Rain.

Rodders, the observation RE Biden was made by a medico here in Oz of some substance by all accounts.

There is some concern here in Oz as to how he will go over the next week or so.

Thankfully he has said no USA troops on the ground, how ever supply of arm to Ukraine will increase.
He is not alone in this, here in Oz our gov is sending more.

Where this will all end is any ones guess, Boris has compared it with a scenario of some years back where one country was left in nothing more than a pile of rubble.

UK dockers claim they will not unload ships with oil or gas from Russia!!!!!
Some other country will no doubt if they are running short of both.

Is this, as many say, an attempt to bring back the USSR?
If so I think he will fail, no one wants that again.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Russia says it has not invaded Ukraine, it's forces are there to stop the terrorists and Nazism of the Ukrainian government....,.yeah right.
Russian foreign minister Sergey labrov? Took part in a televised news conference answering questions from around the world, his answers were beyond belief, denying all questions saying it's not an invasion just Russia trying to protect Ukrainian people from there terrorist government.
Even inside Russia itself there has been some demonstration against the war in Ukraine with the police arresting most of them, even two young children who were laying flowers outside the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow.
How to stop Putin and his ideal of resurecting the old ussr I have no idea, it would take a Russian uprising by his generals and population to halt him but that won't happen, many Russians believe him great as they believe in his doctrine of making Russia great.

Hopefully someone will put some of that liquid on his door handle, you know the same stuff the Russians said their special forces tourists, who where checking out church towers, did not bring to the UK.
