Re: Boiler Shutdown - Warning
Just a suggestion here as I don't know too much about the Lagging side ,but here in Blackheath we just put some Thick Rubber Hosing (Heavy Duty) slit down the side to make the opening and slide it over the Water Pipe
Works like a charm/
Cheers

Re: Boiler Shutdown - Warning
That thick rubber lagging is ideal also sometimes you can't get to the pipe with hot water and a hair dryer will do it

Re: Boiler Shutdown - Warning
You would think that knowing how conditions in UK can get something better would have been devised by now.
Or is this a case of something that will go wrong so keep the business going?
Or am I just being a bit skeptical?

hi vic
I had my boiler condensate pipe fitted to the sink waste pipe under the sink, as plumber advised me that nine out of ten call outs in the winter are for frozen condensate pipes.

WRAS REGULATIONS
Water Supply Industry Interpretations and Advice
Area of Interest : Installation
Topic : Discharge pipes
Title : Discharges from condensing boilers
Clause Reference : Schedule 2 paragraph 19 & G19.4
Reference Number : I14
Decision Date : February 2003
The expansion relief valve and the condensate discharge pipes of condensing boilers must be arranged so that their outlet
THAT MEANS there should be an air gap , before the pipe enters the drain , so you should not connect to under sink waste
