He was with the "Smiths" if I am correct and they had one decent song that is going round in my head but the title of which I cannot remember. He was then and still his a person with a self inflated ego of himself, forever pontificating. Yet quite a number of people seem to think he is as good s, if not better, than sliced bread.
To me he ranks highest on my list of so called "stars" who are always banging on about social injustice, lack of water in countries in Africa, hunger in Africa etc.etc. , yet they live in large houses and amass even bigger fortunes whilst wanting the rest of us to "give £5 a month" to prevent whatever cause they are expounding on. This despite over the years the British public and its Government having poured billions of pounds in Aid money into those countries, to no avail.

That BONO fella is like that,
He was on stage in Glasgow and said," Every time I clap my hands, a child dies in Africa.",

and a voice from the audience shouted , "Then stop clapping your hands ya evil bastard".

Brian, Thats similar to the two do gooders from the catholic church who went to a tiny island of canibals in the South Pacific to help and convert them into good christian souls....................... The bloody natives ate the two of them.

Yesterday I had an email from an old friend in England [ex girl friend]She is very Catholic.
Informed me that the church is donating the price of a goat to a poor family in Ethiopia.
She was not amused when I told her that they would eat said goat on arrival.
I was informed in strong terms that it was for milk and breeding.
I refrained to ask if the breeding would be with a goat or a member of the tribe.
Oh well they do try to help.

£5 notes 'worth £20,000' in circulation

They said their only motive was to spread "good faith and happiness" through the country.

Nice piece of marketing after the new fiver beef.
