    Default ne £5 note

I think there must be something, perhaps added to the water that is driving people in this country in to mental asylums, vegetarians and vegans are refusing to take the new note because it contains animal fat !!!!!!, i wonder how many of these morons wear leather shoes for example, or leather watch strap, or a thousand other things , these people beggar beleif. It just shows what fu**wits are able to make a fuss about. they seem to wander about looking for a banner to wave about just about anything. Roll on space travel, we can then ban them to another planet, preferably one with no oxygen, kt

I did post the same thing today Keith, see "crazy or not" I can understand them not wanting to eat animals but the £5 note
    is ridiculous. JC

Do not eat £5 notes ?

Unless you like bacon and expensive sandwiches.

A spokeswoman from the Bank of England said: “We can confirm that the polymer pellet from which the base substrate is made contains a trace of a substance known as tallow. Tallow is derived from animal fats (suet) and is a substance that is also widely used in the manufacture of candles and soap.”

Do not light up, wash or eat your money if bacon offends ?

Tallow in this country is added to everything.

    Lick that.

    AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH.....Tallow.
Worst cargo I ever carried. Used to load it Hamburg for Discharge in Port Jerome (up the Seine). A 80 deg. plus cargo, bloody awful to discharge. Needed massive amounts of steam to clear lines if any stoppage in discharge happened (often did as shore lines got frozen/tanks ashore full etc. and then there was the cleaning afterwards, hours of washing at 80 deg., steaming lines etc. and all that with a deck like a skating rink with a sheen of grease all over it.
    Bah Humbug to tallow.

Keith, anyone that objects to having the new £5 in their possession, I am quite willing to accept it, if they wish to send it me.

If they don't want them I have a good home for them.
Canada has had that type for ages.
Far cleaner that the dirty £5 we have just now .
They are all to be like that soon . So remember my bank account not fussed.

In that case we will be back to the Indian uprising and the tallow on the bullets.

I still have some of the old ones which I keep handy in case have to go back to UK in a hurry. Hope they still work. When you think back to the old White Fivers, sometimes had to put your name and address on the back in case they were forgeries. JS

    Hi John.
My wife put a new Aus $5 note into a poker machine the noise was terrible, she got a supervisor who opened the machine, half the note was there which he exchanged for an old one, he said the machines wouldn't take the new notes, later they had stripped the machine down but never found the other half of the new note. One way of losing on the pokies I suppose.
Not like in India where the Govt trashed all the small notes and only printed half the amount to replace them to stop black economy, I think the black economy would have been further up the line with the big notes.
    Cheers Des

Tallow can also be produced from pork or other animals ? Lot's of fivers coming your way Vic ?

Few complained when the cocaine traces were found, guess they were sniffing then rather than eating them ?

WHAT NEXT ? Deep fried fivers in batter ?
