I think this reporter has been reading this thread ?

A petition was created calling on the Bank of England to remove tallow from the £5 notes

Militant vegans, of course, are another kettle of tofu. (Is there such a thing as a moderate vegan?) It's not enough that they eschew meat, they're on a crusade to force their beliefs on everyone else. They're out to save the planet one cow at a time.

Look, I don't have a problem with vegans, or vegetarians for that matter. More meat to go round for the rest of us. But they shouldn't be allowed to impose their prejudices on the majority.

The Bank should have thanked them for their interest and then told them to go forth and multiply.

    Hi Brian.
We could have a BIG parade of camels out here, there are over a million wild ones in the outback, not that i have counted them but someone seems to have.
    Cheers Des

I needed one for my nativity display, camels are scarce this way as are virgins etc.

#41... Keith I wonder if that Richard Littlejohn is any relation to Commander Littlejohn who was in command of Britains latest Nucleur Submarine in the late 70"s early 80"s and later was taken on board the American Research team for undersea warfare. JS

#42 Des it was one of the things on my wifes bucket list was to ride a camel, which she did a few years ago now, it was also to climb the Sydney harbour Bridge which she also did. I have done neither my first excuse was I am allergic to camels, and the second was I didn't want to be breathalised. They weren't on my bucket list anyway, which is secret, and would get divorced if she found out. Cheers JS

#43 Keith if you come out this way sometime you may get lucky and get a chaste camel, they aren't as pretty as the sheep. Cheers JS

There is nothing wrong with vegans and vegetarians, I am sure both would be most welcome in some parts of PNG where cannibalism is still practiced. Of course there may not be much meat on them but they would be very tender.

    Hi Des
I was trapped by Camels in Silverton, North of Broken Hill, in my camper van, it is a `ghost town` and just the one pub. only Anne and myself and Vanessa a barmaid from BH. in the whole town, went in for a couple of pints of 4X and when I came out there were hundreds all around my van, all lying down. I was honking, and pushing them with the bumpers but no way would they move. I was forced to go back in the pub for some more sustenance. for a couple of hours before some of them moved on. We stayed overnight once near Alice on a Camel farm and had Camel meat in their café, Rather tasty,.
    Brian.

What a bloody daft world we live in, soon money will have to have the ingredients printed on the reverse side, certainly a bonus for forgers. The only thing that worries me about money is not having enough of it, as far as I am concerned you can make it from recycled sh*t as long as I can spend it
