Should have left the animal fat or whatever grease it is, as may have helped Fagan when instructing his boys to pick a pocket or two... JS

John #16, there is talk of doing away with the $100 note. Apparently as most drug deals are done with cash the $100 suits them best, not so much to carry.
But if you go to any casino here on a Sunday morning you will see them being used like there was no tomorrow.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Hi John S.
Our club only seem to have $50 notes, not that i see many of them; don't know if it is just convenience or not.
But with all this talk of tallowed notes in the UK I hope the local fish and chip shop doesn't start frying up in old fivers.
    Cheers Des

Well it seems the minority have won again, the Mint has said it will now look at new ways of producing the £5 note so that no animal fat is in the manufacturing process, why on earth do the authorities bend to these minority complainers. We have a local group complaining that is demeaning to the reindeer currently being used in a small town Christmas parade to be in a parade, I wonder which one of the reindeer they asked

The Mint should be telling all those Vegans, M's etc. to eff off or enrol them in a basic course on chemistry. By the time the polymer that is used to coat the new notes is applied, any animal fats used in its production will have been so chemically altered that the fat content will no longer exist.
These idiots who complain at the drop of a hat need to get real. I bet they wear man made fibre clothes of which one of the main constituent's is the chemical Benzene. This is not another name for Petrol but is a base chemical produced in huge quantities in the petro chemical industry. It is known to cause cancer in humans either by inhalation of its fumes or via absorbation through the skin. Benzene is a chemical that is widely used in many industries, clothing and even food manufacturing, just google "Benzene, chemical" and loads comes up.
Regarding your local group complaining about the use of Reindeer in the Christmas parade, that's now't. Here we have a Christmas parade led by camels, supplied by an animal welfare guaranteed outfit and only used for 20 minutes to lead the parade before being returned to a specially constructed enclosure and at no time are the public allowed near them. This parade has been going on for a number of years yet this year some ass hole started a petition to stop the use of these animals in the parade, saying it causing the animals distress. Within days 77,000 people had signed the petition and even our useless local M.P. supported it. Not that she expressed her own views, just trotted out the usual Corbyn inspired guff.
This parade brings in quite large numbers of visitors who spend money in the town, much needed as our local council has for years presided over the slow decline of the place with their daft policies.

Quite frankly this P.C. world is driving us all mad. For instance did you know that if you were to buy a new build house (or build your own) the maximum temperature of the hot water coming out of your bath tap is limited by building regs. is 45 degrees. This is supposedly meant to safeguard any elderly, disabled or child getting into a too hot bath and possibly scalding themselves. Mind you the hot water coming from the tap in the wash basin in the same bathroom can be as hot as your boiler can supply.
Ain't life wonderful in this P.C. Nanny state we live in.......not
