Like the true politician he was, as soon as he saw he was not going to get the leadership of the Labour party. he upsticks and disappeared to New York to a £250,000 p/a job as head of a disaster relief charity, saying the reason for this was that as his wife was American she wanted to return to the USA. That after making sure that their adopted children had a U.K. passport.
His successor in Shields is just as useless as he was but does not seem to have the big enough snout to get into trough of ex. politicians landing highly paid jobs for which they have no experience or talent for, but hey having no experience or talent is probably means that they are best suited to be.......POLITICIANS.

They also fought for freedom of our people from the very people who are over ruling us today, what a two finger salute to them that is - I am very surprised at your attitude and comments too cappy - you have your free speech with pleasure - but dont criticize with righteous indignation my right to my opinions nor to my right to remember and still have feelings of hurt for someone I loved deeply and lost. I dont expect nor want an apology off you as I know it would not be worth the words spoken.

It looks like Dodgy Daves scam to get his mate Barak to make his back of the queue speech could've backfired on Dave.An ICM Poll today shows Brexit 46% Remain to stay 44%.
I can't understand this trade deal with the USofA,we have ACL running a liner service coming into Seaforth every week. From USA to Seaforth discharge cargo from the States, ship go's across to Antwerp loads cargo for USA comes back to Liverpool and loads cargo for USA,and this is going on week-in-week-out,so is this not trading with the USA.

Jim, the days when governments fed us a load of bull...., and we had no choice to believe it have long gone, we can get huge amounts of information right round the world at our finger tips, so we are no longer in the dark, and can think for ourselves. Cameron and his merry men are worried even Teressa the terrible is looking to feather her own nest now. Bringing on Obama was a bad move. Kt

Sadly Jim that is how politicians work. Theyw ill promise you the earth to get in the offer you a bucket of dirt when they do.

We had a carbon tax here in Oz brought in by Labor and it increased the price of electricity. In comes the Coalition and the tax goes.

Now we have a feral erection coming up in July. The Labor leader says as did the last one,' there will be no carbon tax if we win, but we will put a tax on poluters'

The biggest polluters according to Labor are the power stations, so a tax on them will see the price of electricity going up. Clever speak will at times con many into a false sense of security.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
