Re: EU elections
Hi shipmates, Local issue here a few months ago, Parking tickets ? they were so good at they job, Scamming the private car owner it was forceing customers away from the shops, so we got together and told them about it , we had a load of councilors and a couple of E.U MPS, getting in on the act. They all done a lot of talking about every thing but {The parking issue} as the church hall was packed with local {voters} I know my E.U. MP has a son in Oxford????? and the council saves' money at every possible turn????? After much heated debate they called they dogs off {parking enforcers} no one took the blame just finger pointing like school children... what a bunch of T---- on top money, no wonder they all want the job....

.
Nothing wrong with having a son at Oxford Louis.
My son passed for Oxford, but after a visit there he changed his mind and went to a Better one, Liverpool University.
Cheers
Brian.

Brian one of my daughters also passed for Oxford, but after a visit there, decided that Leeds was a better University and subsequently went there and eventually got her Doctorate there. She said that Oxford wasn't keeping abreast of modern times and lecturers were more interested in scoring points off each other and politics than the student's advancement.
Louis, her education didn't cost the taxpayer anything as the 'Bank of Dad' bankrolled both her and her twin sister who went to Manchester University and as a single wage earner (widower) he left me poor but happy for them, as they did their late mum proud

Re: EU elections
Hi shipmates, The topic of the meeting was "Car parking" Not I am an E.U. MP who son is going to Oxford, thanks to me on the gravy train... I am all in favour of children doing well, but being told we payed for it,Was nothing to do with anything...I was shouting her down at the time with others as said, it was a heated debate they wanted to stop shoppers useing the local shops? in Favour of the main big out of town supermarkets with car-parks unfair to local traders. If you had a parking ticket everytime you picked up a newspaper...
