and they still

hate us!!!

living on a 'fixed income'
do they get any breaks while our government
and religious organisations pour Hundreds of Billions
and Tons of Food
to Foreign Countries!

We have hundreds of adoptable children who

are shoved aside

to make room for

the adoption of

foreign orphans.

AUSTRALIA, UK

& US

countries where we have

homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without needed medication and mentally ill without treatment... etc.

yes john and food banks opening every day how much of that aid goes right in the ar.e pocket of corrupt been counters in them countries and never gets to the people why don't we stop just for one year to see how they get on without us? how many that fought for this country will die of cold or just because they are old in the hospitals in this country this winter? we vote the brains in parliament to run our land not some dust bowl that will never give a crop of food or will always be at war with each other that's no our head ache sort the uk out first?jp

The foreign aid budget in the U.K. is one of the largest single budget item and running it alone with all those civil servants costs a packet.
I would hazard a guess that per person the U.K. contributes more foreign aid than most of the so called developed nations.
THIS MUST STOP IMMEDIATLEY. We get very little in return for all this money being poured into those developing nations and many of them openly dislike us, yet no government in recent history has had the guts to tackle the foreign aid budget. Just halting all aid for one year would virtually halve the national deficit or even wipe it out. Also in addition the amount of charitable donations given from the U.K. population is astronomical in relation to other countries.
Any party that makes Immigration and Foreign Aid two of its most important agenda items in its manifesto at the next general election, gets my vote.

There is a TV documentary coming up, I only caught the end of the trail,i think it's next monday night on BBC1 Panorama 8.30.It investigates what happens with Foreign aid money,should be interesting.

jim before any food goes on a truck a bag of money is the first to pay check point guards to get through to the starving anyone with a gun can set up a check point and they do? the posh part of the south of france all the water front properties are owned by African generals do they get paid that well? how much of every pound gets to the needy that's why we should stop it so the people will stand on their own two feet.jp

As JP says corruption is rife in all those food aid and foreign aid program and even amongst the charitable donations.
Many years ago the Blue Peter program in the U.K. got all their viewers (children) to collect the silver milk bottle tops and they got a huge response. The aim of the collection was to turn these bottle tops into cash in order to buy an ambulance based on a land rover for use in Nigeria. This must have been sometime shortly after the Biafran war. The campaign was such a success that they raised enough cash to actually buy 3 of these specially adapted Land Rovers and they were dispatched with great fanfare off to Nigeria.
A few years later I was in Lagos on a ship and there sitting on the dock were these three Land Rovers now stripped of there wheels and anything useful but still displaying the Donated by Blue Peter viewers logo on them. Of course what had happened was that the organisers of the campaign had failed to recognise that before anything left the docks in Lagos, backhanders to Customs etc. had to be paid, so three perfectly good ambulances just sat there for years rusting away.
I would hazard a guess that this happens to lots of the aid that still gets sent out to these countries and we are the muggins that keep on donating in the blind belief that all our donations go directly to help the needy.

The Western World decries communism, and yet practices one of the fundamental principles of the same by sharing that wealth with others, and not where it should first go to the people who made that wealth, their own citizens. They make situations worse instead of better by throwing money at what they call problems. Some of these countries are richer than their benefactors, whether it is the idea of currying favour with some of these regimes or not, I just don't understand their thinking, I will be surprised if the present world leaders of the so called free world will ever get their finger out and come up with proper policies. We have been collecting money for starving kids in Africa since I was a kid 70 years ago , they are still starving.
How many billions have been sent to Africa in those 70 years? what have they got to show for it? Crabs Nada. . so where has all the Countless Billions gone.
We could be living in a lovely well off country if we kept the money, it made No Difference to the kids in Africa
It has just been on the Radio that an extra 32,000 old people over the age of 75 died of cold last winter.
[ my gawd, I am old, ]. So why are we dying in this country with all this wealth we are giving away.???
CAMERON and ALL the other Expences Cheats Have a lot to answer for.
