Well reading an article today we are all stuffed.
Two men, one a scientist the other a weather man say the end will be catastrophic.
The reason, we went from hunter gatherers to growers of crops and this has distorted the natural balance of the environment!!!!
Had we remained as we were the situation would not be as dire as it is now.

But there is still a way to save the planet according to them.
Reduce the population from the current 8 billion to around 2 to 3 billion.
However they do not say how to do this!!

I for one could not give a rats, doubt I, or any of us will be around to see the end.

Well, Putin is doing his bit, and the weather is trying hard to make up the numbers in some parts.

#51 .well there is only one way to accomplish that John , and that is through birth control , when the Chinese tried that a few years ago , the screams from the rest of the world could of been heard on that new planet or heavenly body they have just noticed it’s existance. Proving that you can please some of the people some of the time , but not all of the people all of the time. That old catholic saying copulation is for procreation Not recreation did have meaning for some of the believers. JS
PS that sentence in the Old Testament ,go forth and multiply, was the excuse to sow ones wild oats, should now be retracted , and say like Lord Baden Powell , go forward but be prepared , you will be held responsible for. Anything you sow.

We may have it all wrong, perhaps the new saviour is the LBTG###@@@ no breeding there maybe, although we may end up back as monkeys, with the spread of this monkey pox.

Des, a good idea but for many of us the legs will no longer stand the strain of climbing a tree.
And living on bananas, even though they are very good for you, will in time become very boring.

Soylent Green funny the year mentioned is 2022 !!!!! spooky or what?

Soylent Green is a 1973 American ecological dystopian thriller film, directed by Richard Fleischer, starring Charlton Heston, Leigh Taylor-Young and Edward G. Robinson in his final film role. Loosely based on the 1966 science fiction novel Make Room! Make Room! by Harry Harrison, the film combines police procedural and science fiction genres, the investigation into the murder of a wealthy businessman and a dystopian future of dying oceans and year-round humidity, due to the greenhouse effect, resulting in pollution, poverty, overpopulation, euthanasia and depleted resources.[2] In 1973, it won the Nebula Award for Best Dramatic Presentation and the Saturn Award for Best Science Fiction Film.

See a new report out today tells us to take care of the trees or we will perish.
But cutting down 1.3 million to make dunny rolls is a lot of crap.
Maybe should again consider the middle ages way using Dock leaves.
Take the sting out of it anyway.

My money is on mother nature she has a way of not listening to all these whingers and whiners from both camps and just sorts it out. I too saw that movie years ago and like others thought it way out but got to think about it now. Can not understand the logic of some though because if all those advocating global warming are wrong and it is not happening. Yet we still abide with what they want surely it will result in future generations living in a cleaner healthier world. Yet if the deniers get there way and are proved wrong in the future. What sort of mess have we left for the future generations and no time left to clean it up. Did read a book years ago that reckoned the world population was wiped out and earth was rendered barren. Then over the centuries the ice caps came back then a little black flower sprouted through the ice to soak up the suns rays. This was the start of a new era of growth but no mention of populating the place with humans to stuff it all up again lol.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.
