    hi vernon,
not Ozzy bush tucker again, how about some nice kiwi grub.
starter- KINA, ( thats the guts of a sea urchin) eaten straight from the shell
soup - whole fish head soup, complete with eyes and scales
mains - boil up, road kill of the day, with puha & watercress
dessert- rotten corn , gently left to rot in a bucket of water for 12 months (best served cold)
    nibbles - huhu grubs,gently roasted.

    now that sounds very appetising.

Now Taffy 1, rotten corn can be put to good use if you havea still! If we don;t have one I am sure one of the engineers can make us one, when we can find them. Polish spirit is made from corn, thye distil it and leave it in bottles in the ground for a couple of years. Maybe we could put ours down in the bilges for a few days, give it a good flavour.
Suggest grey eared bats as entree, done in aspic of course. Broiled Port Melbourne star fish as fish dish.
Calves feet en poulet for main. For dessert chocolate covered widgery grubs fresh from the north.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

    hi john.
i dont think you,d like this rotten corn, its orible, smells even worse.i was offered some on the east coast whilst visiting some friends. as soon as they lifted the lid, the stench was over powering. how they get it in to thier mouhts i,ll never know, your nose needs to be 5ks away.
les has a still!!! but i dont think he,ll put this stuff in it.
your widgery grubs, are the same as our HUHU grubs, they taste like peanuts and best roasted over an open fire. ummm.

Listen you bunch of perverse eaters if I want somthing like peanuts I'll eat peanuts not grubs. As for road kill unless its a bullock or pig or some tasty sheep you can have my share. Me I'll settle for Boston baked beans, a chicken or lamb curry with naan, bacon and eggs with some nice sausage thrown in. Cottage pie without the bricks please Den, Shepherds pie minus the lambs tail or one of my all time favourites red onions and garlic cooked in olive oil, laced with toms., and baked in the oven with goats cheese all over the top. Serve with a nice fresh crusty loaf and a bottle of good red. Don't mind what wine as long as its red and either merlot, granarche, tempranillo or shiraz. Tell the 'Old (wo) Man's' Tiger the galley boy will have it in his cabin. Mike
