Taffy mate, I would be very careful as to which spike you stick in that lock. Queenie is as crafty as a cart load of monkeys and she will pull you off that crows nest as soon as look at you.

Maybe be if i shimmy up the mast.I can slide down the fore stay using my back skin as a brake, that will work providing i drop off before hitting the bottle screw. Hitting that would make my eyes water OWWWW.

Well you lot, I am off for a week, going to Great Yarmouth, ( and NO I am not going camping ) I have some A/L owing me and I am going to take it, so when you lot have finished climbing up and down the mast ( must think they are pole dancers ) Hmmmm, Give Den a hand in the Galley. I will catch up with the ship later. Take care......Terry.

One really does have to take care before posting on this vessel.
You guys can turn a simple word like 'camping' into a whole different thing.
And no John, I am staying in the closet thank you. Wouldn't turn my back on any of you, even if I did add bromide to the tab-nabs.
Did someone mention we have sighted Santos?
Missed the ship there once. Would like to go ashore for some 'pay-back time'. Then again, may end up back in the slammer. Not much fun those South American jail's.
    Den.

Hi Taffy one eye , if you do shimmy up the mast and slide down the fore stay, make sure it is your back skin you use and not your fore , cos that really would make your eyes water. See you in the mess! :

Madmick, as long as it was only a tooth you had pulled that's O.K. But beware queenie is on th eprowl and will pull anything. I often wondered Den why you walked in that manner , never seen anyone keep their legs so close together, how do you manage it? Taffy mate do not slide down the back stay too quickly, the smell of buring flesh will contaminate the tab nabs.

Gee lads that was a close call, Qweenie is now stuck in the crows nest, i managed to find one of Dens tabnabs in my pocket . So i slid down the back stay using that , so there is no smell of burning flesh. Mind you i think we might have to replace the stay at some time , that tabnab nearly wore right through the wire.
Wait till i see Les and i dont care if it is his BRITHDAY and hes 65.I ll Get him back for sending qweenie up after me. Ive noticed that Den walks kinder funny , i always thought he had piles!.
Sorry to hear of your tooth problems madmick, what was it ? deep roots?.
Hey lads ! when i was on lookout Santos was on the starboard bow, now its on the port quarter! Has anybody checked on Alf lately? he might have cashed in his chips and didnt leave us a note. We had better give him a wake up call.Cant miss Santos, Hey maybe that is why Dens walking funny, he s remembering his time in the pokie ( slammer).

    Default Clarification!

What's a port quarter then? Is it the same as port beam or bottle and where can you buy one? Just got back from Polperro and feeling rather dry as it's a long drive at least a120 miles. Weather was good, ale was fine and pasties really tasty. Saw where Den went 'camping' but they now use pole dancers to operate the new lock gate. Had a drink in the 'Pilchard' and one in the Anchor another in 'Millhouse' one or two in the 'Smugglers and three or four maybe more in the Stuffed Mackrel. No! Wait a min I got that wrong cos I had tea with the vicar, before I had a couple in 'The Ship' followed by a final draught in the 'Crumplehorn'. I called a halt after 1/2 in the 'Blue Peter' and a dozen or so in the 'Noughts and Crosses' but was scuppered by the time I got to the 'Harbour Moon'. Tried to get a contract for Den's tabnabs but he's remembered here and not favourably due to him opening the gate when the tide was out. Glad to see you have managed without me but now move over and let me get to those spuds and carrots coz I'm feeling all moody. So splice me timbers and shiver me mainbrace and haul up the thingamagig and put up the big cotton thingie er er sail, that's it. Lets head for wherever Alf takes us. Mike

Taffy, one thing to be said for my tab-nabs [no not that word] is that they are multi purpose That's a lot more that can be said for you lot. Most of this crew are not even SINGLE purpose! Another thing. I don't walk funny, well sometimes when coming out of the fog locker. And I had my own private cell in Santos. Cops knew I would have been ravaged if put in with the population!!
Sound like Mike you hit all of the drinking establishments in Polperro. If I ever make it back there I will be sure not to mention your name.
Hope you can find some spuds and carrots, we haven't been in port to get supplies for so long we are running out.Good job I still have a stash of rum extract to fall [being the operative word] back on.
    Den.
