Welcome
I wrote this in 1989. Brave sailor, where have you gone You've vanished from the scene Not only from the minds of men But from the silver screen So many films of brave young men Who faced the mighty foe And hurricanes and gale force winds of these we see no more Now all we see is blood and death And videos of shame A sad reflection on us all We're all a part to blame What hope have we, of youth today As they scuffle on the path To rob old ladies of their wealth And reap the judges wrath Oh bring us back those ships of old Their sails all gray with salt maybe a taste of hardship Will bring them to a halt We'd so much like to turn the tide But fear it's much to late I think the ship has sailed away And we're left here to our fate.
