Well if their own people hadn't sold them as slaves then they could well have continued to have lived in Nivarna where ever that was, I feel Africa or any other Utopia would welcome them back with open arms should they wish to return to their roots; doesn't seem to be a mass exodus in that direction.

I am inclined to agree with this view. Under Ghandi the British were thrown out of India, yet hundreds of thousands Indians have chosen to live in the UK. Why one wonders? When Idi Amin threw the Asians out of Uganda tens of thousands moved to the UK instead of India, one has to wonder why? When the EU opened the borders to East European countries to free movement within the EU tens of thousands moved west to the UK, Why one asks when things were so rosy in their own countries?

Perhaps the explanation is to be found in an interview recently on Dutch television. A coloured gentlemen from some African utopia when
asked why he sought asylum in the Netherlands replied that it was because he was told he would get everything free and the Netherlands
would look after him for the rest of his life !.

If these migrants get their way, the UK will be just like the countries they all abandoned. That's unfortunate for most migrants I know, because most of them are fully integrated and love it here. Much of the problems arise from their kids, and their Grandkids, running with unintegrated migrants kids. I know generations of Afro-Carib families, that have no intention of becoming "British", and of course the same goes for Asian families.
Maybe it's our own fault for not stopping them all living in certain areas, where they don't mix with us? There are parts of London where you won't see a white face anywhere, or hear English being spoken.
Several ethnic people I knew have moved away from London, simply to escape the things I've mentioned.

Call me a cynic, but the attached news clip, makes me think, this year i believe is when we , the UK, are to introduce border checks on goods from the EU, this was all part of the deal when we left. Now , of course if we are having border checks, and this of course will slow down the EU vehicles with their fresh produce, tomatoes etc, not good new for their producers, and so the new approach maybe !!!.

What's the UK level of readiness now for a terrorist attack? I was wondering and somebody tell me if I'm wrong, but I can't remember hearing of any Christian, Buddhist, Jewish or any other religious terrorists other than ******. I was told years ago that as long as there was one non-****** in the world it is a jihad. Once sailed with an East African ****** (won't say his name) who said as a ****** he would only drink Remy Martin brandy.

That reminds me of early 70s Mina al Ahmadi sea island, two customs guys walk in bar and order brandy, I said I thought you were not supposed to drink alcohol. Prompt answer was "medicinal" whilst rubbing their bellies with one hand.

Be thankful those from both the faiths involved in the conflict do not eat Bacon , Ham or Pork it is expensive enough as it is without creating a shortage.

The fact is some of them do eat the so called forbidden foods.

On UCL we carried a lot of Jews, even had a Kosher kitchen on some of the ships.
But mnay would ask the cabin steward to bring them a bacon butty.

When at the Uni we had an Indian lecturer who lead the Friday prayers for students and staff who were of the faith.

As he told me, the book says eating unclean meat is bad, but if that is all there is to sustain life then it can be eaten.
