MSC Lirica
Lirica is anchored off the port of Corfu and has been for the last fortnight.
Metro on line shows photographs of billowing black smoke belching from the ships accommodation.
Fire fighting ships are in attendance.

Re: MSC Lirica
Seems to be a lack of outside assistance, unless the fire fighting tugs are on the other side sending the fire across the ship, there should be outside assistance on both sides, any other info.

Re: MSC Lirica
I suppose there is a silver lining if such a thing is possible under the circumstances. No passengers and no doubt fewer crew. You have to wonder though how the fire started in the first place. Electrical fault? or a galley fire. Not being familiar with cruise ship lay out would that possibly be in an area a galley would be in?
As Ivan says there is not a lot of outside assistance on view.

Re: MSC Lirica
Maybe someone smoking in bed. Is the ship named after the sportswear that racing cyclists wear ? JS.
