"Yes" that's from my brother....we've been looking for a long time! The 'De' isn't usually used and I have looked at everything with & without it.

Re: WW11 Merchant Navy
Apologies for this being so confusing ( Cyber Asprin on it's way for your headache Hugh) ....you can see why we've been looking for over eight years! K M Macaulay is my Dad (M is for Manoel) (Macaulay was his Mother's maiden name). We've looked for all the different spellings, combinations etc possible and still can't find anything for WW11 or MN in WW11.

Re: WW11 Merchant Navy
Hi Pat,
Sorry for all the questions but the answers to all is important, as you say, you have struggled and know more than us, we knew nothing.
Find my Past (Merchant Navy) do have a record or Kenneth Manuel De Sant' Anna, this will be the record that Hugh mentioned in the Archives. I do not use any type of pay for site and generally add links for the enquirer to follow up or for others on site that may have access.
I do feel now we may start to get somewhere.
I can say Kenneth Manuel De Sant' Anna (1920) was born in Ormskirk, Lancashire, England.
Certain others helping will follow up and I will take another look ASAP. Keith.
LINK: Bad Request Not certain why the link comes up as bad request but it does work.

Re: WW11 Merchant Navy
Pat, as you say, you are struggling to find more and you hold the basic information we require to try to help, We are spending a lot of time trying to build a basic picture that we need to understand and move on and find more. Even what we may find would need to be confirmed and your help is appreciated. It is usual that the enquirer holds the key to what we need to get results and generally we ask for all information the enquirer holds as we are using much time to find what is known to you already rather than on an end result. Hence the headaches ! Keith.
