I vaguely remember some crew members finding they had Mobile Dandruft, and remedy was those old fashioned kerosene Flit Guns that had a little tank on the end and they pumped the Handle to operate the flit gun, I did tell one member to pour whisky on them so theyd get the itchy things drunk and they kill each other. So who ever they managed to impress ashore gave them a farewell present to remember them by. There certainly was some very exotic things to collect in many of the ports. all the best Glenn

#51. Glen, Think the cure was called Blue Ointment carried in the the Medical Locker. There again may only be half right in which case your testicles may drop off if you use. BOTH. one was a prossie who accused the second cook of not paying even though we had not been near her, the others were her friends. mind you the cook was from yorkshire

I did ask one of our Gentleman crew members, who had unforunately got landed with an exotic desease, i said to him were you paraleticly inebriated when you met the Lady who was suitably impressed with you and invited you home for a (Cup of Coffee) did you think she was very beautiful in your inebriated state.And were the Words I dont do this for everyone ever mentioned.

John I used to go ashore dressed like Robinson Crusoe still never failed, The secret was we were always clean you could stand ten guys in a line up and always pick out which one the seaman was, I promise you from experience the police always got there man. Well they did in my case Terry.
