Re: Did we really impress the Ladies?
When I used to frequent Hongkong, in the 1960s, I always wore a new suit to go ashore. Sparks & I used to order them as soon as we got orders, from "Ah Ma. Tailor", in Kowloon who kept our measurements on file. We always had the best Silk and Mohair single breasted suits, plus cotton shirts to show off in the Peninsular Hotel. The old ones I used to give to my Chinese steward to swagger around in. Plus my hand made shoes, I must have looked a real ponce. After paying my various ladies, and swilling G.H.Mumm Champagne, I never did have much money !

Re: Did we really impress the Ladies?
The Last two I bought there, one was sharkskin (whatever that is supposed to imply). These were made for a 10stone midget. Disappeared long ago, what they would make for a 15 stone midget now the mind boggles. Was also the time of the drainpipes would never get the feet down never mind the legs. Cheers John Sabourn
