on my first trip to oz the cook was was a Geordie jock.......he was a great guy.......but terrible when in drink......he went adrift in Melbourne saying he was going for to get himself a woman.....I was left in the galley myself ....as the 2nd cook went with him......the chief steward had gone to ....I think it was called the trots......the 2nd steward came in the galley he had no more idea than a bricklayer ......we muddled thro.......on the 2nd day in the eveningdown the quay comes jock drunk as a skunk ...with truly a beautiful women ..I can still see her now ....but cant remember her name......cappy he yells get something for my lady to eat........going in his cabin with a sarnie .....jock was muff diving with gusto........id never seen that before so filed it away for later ........after a while ......cappy you take her for a shower ....he now drunk he couldn't stand......and let no effer in that shower or I will cut your effin ballocks of ......me suitably warned....took her to the shower ....she in the shower would you like to get in here with me ......no said I as I got in the shower jock will effin murder me .....truly one of the best shags I have ever had.......backto the cabin jock to her did that we bastardtry it on ...no ses she its fine ...I scuttled off quick as a flash ........3or 4 days later jock said did you eff her ....no honest jock says I........you must be a bleedin puff I told her to give you a go .....jock was a bit of a hero to me he had fired coal burners ...had an abs ticket and a bot cooks ticket if hes still here he wiould be about93 who knows he might even see this if he does thanks jock you made a boy into a man........cappy

Cappy I remember being put on a shake by an AB in Lisbon at 5.30 am telling me that the cook and 2nd cook were well out of it in some bar and he did'nt think they would make it back todo the breakfast.The AB asked me to turn to and get the show on the road and he would give me a hand.Down the fridge flat a box of kippers were part of the "throw out" so that was easy enough,so I'l do kippers,bacon,egg and fried bread.the AB and myself had everything under control so I was feeling quite proud of myself and thinking the cook will be pleased.Just on time the cook arrives in the galley says to the AB get out of my f'n galley to me you get them f'n spuds peeled that was the thanks we got I'm sorry i got out of my bunk so early and did what we did.
