Welcome
Lewis they have been doing that for years at my local NHS, there is a private hospital where you can get a private consultation for a fee, the consultant will then refer you to see him at the local NHS hospital at a later date. That must be for his holiday money or membership to the golf club. Den
I have just had excellent treatment on NHS Two weeks ago today I phoned my Dr. told him I had pains in my kidneys and bladder, also pains in my right leg and hip where I had fallen down stairs a while ago. Friday got a Blood test and urine test. last Tuesday in hospital, X-rays on my leg and hip. a scan on both kidneys and my Bladder Wednesday into Urology, A Nurse and Consultant examined me and a finger inserted to the Prostate. The following day, last Thursday, back into urology, Two Nurses examin my goolies and the Consultant insert something into my pipe, and then insert a camera into the pipe and into the bladder He inspected all the inside of the bladder., I could see it on the TV screen. took out the camera and then inserted a finger into the tail pipe and felt the prostate. "slightly enlarged. Tablets for six months and another check up in Four months. Monday a phone call from Dr, Kidneys OK , Bladder has an infection , on anti- biotics, more tests a week on Monday. All that in two weeks from a phone call, Bolton has the highest Covid infection rate in the Country and still provides an excellent service,. Thank you NHS Brian If you do not like your local hospital you can change it for another one.

I think Covid will alter our whole outlook on life for years to come... COVID-DINNER PARTY.jpg
Some right idiots believed it to be no worse than the common cold and would be over in weeks. K.
#274 Glad you got a good result Brian and by the sounds of it a full MOT. I got one of those screening test kits for Bowel cancer 3 weeks ago. Sent it in, got a letter within 3 days to phone this numb 1234567?. Phoned and got an appointment for an MRI scan that week. They do not want to put the camera up me chuff just now as I am on a high Warfarin dosage. If they need to do colonoscopy and they need to do a biopsy I will have to come off the Warfarin. So the only option was the MRI scan, 3days strict diet 2 doses of (Black Draft) certainly cleared me out that's for sure. So we wait and see were we go from there. Just listening to local news now , average waiting time to see a consultant is 12 months, Urology 5 years, life changing surgery joint replacement surgery 4 years. Just imagine what state the NHS would be in if all those Black & Brown doctors and nurses were sent packing back to were they came from . I owe my life to the Indian doctor who was ready and waiting at the RVH at 4am on the 4th of January when I had my heart attack and had fitted 3 stents within 2 hours from arriving on the operating table. Also I would like to thank Asian Technician /Doctor who carried out my recent MRI scan for my Bowel procedure.
I see you are on Warfarin, Do not use it any more over here, blood thinner. now used for killing rats,. I am on IPAXIBAN for blood thinning. much better Cheers Brian

Sure enough, after a year or so he had a massive blood clot/stroke and later died.He was 66.The ER doctor's first words to my friend's partner was "Is he on Warfarin?,so it is a commonly known fact that Warfarin can cause strokes. Of course it is a personal decision between you and your doctor.Anyone in similar circumstances should make themselves well-informed about Warfarin and the alternatives...
#276... This may come up twice as computer seized up first time. Graham was interested when first saw the cartoon as thought one of the formula looked familiar, but on the second look was not so , thought one of them was Sin Amp =Sin Dec Sec Lat. JS
