Not only eat less red meat in order to reduce the number of cattle farting tons of methane into the atmosphere but now some scientists at Cambridge? University say we should reduce the amount of dairy milk we drink, replacing it with plant based and lactose free milk.
How bloody stupid.

I just wonder how many millions have been pulled in by so called climate change tax with various governments and where it is spent! Is it all funneled into improving the environment ?

Its all a big con.
Take Dra Power Station, boilers have been converted to burn wood pellets, environmentally friendly, reduce Co2 etc.
The wood comes from forests in the USA, claims that the wood comes from fallen branches. It has been proved that they are cutting down the trees.
The trees are cut down, transported to a complex where the bark is stripped off, then the wood is pulped to make pellets, then dried off all using power.
Transported across the Atlantic by Bulk Carrier, then shipped to Drax by Train, all environmentally friendly.
The pellets are then burnt, giving off Co2.
True they plant trees for those cut down, the trees that are replanted take 60 years to capture the emissions from burning the original trees burnt down
That's why I say its a con.

Maybe we should get rid of vegetarians and vegans first. I have heard that beans are a big source of protein for them; never hear any comments about the bean effect on them, do we?

Les, It is not a case of being a sceptic or a non believer.
Rather it is the manner in which the case is being put by those in charge.

You say nothing has been done here in Oz for six years, on what assumption?
We have reached the agreed Paris climate action level of emmisions, so what is the problem?

We have in this country numerous land fill sites, no doubt other countries do as well, as the material decomposes it produces Methane.
We have here in Vic a number of local councils who tap that and use it to fire up power stations.

Co2 like it or not we cannot live without, trees and green shrubs convert it to oxygen which we need.

I like you am not a 'Greenie' far from it, but I can see how many of the younger generation, those with very fertile minds ae being brainwashed by those who want change to suit them, maybe not all for the good.

We still have a long way to go to get so many things right and there will always be conflict between both sides.

The rush currently under way to get to the end point is far too fast for the benefit of all.
Good change, the type I and many others want is done in an orderly manner with good input, not mad rhetoric as we are subject o currently by both sides.
