Climate Change -Again.

In the UK the Climate Change Committee are made of non technocrats and have limited vision.
On the other hand the greens are very vociferous and usally rule the roost.
The CCC have ruled that the UK in order to reach zero Co2 emissions should convert to a hydrogen based economy. Hydrogen is expensive to produce and needs casts amounts of energy and is there time the cost of natural gas.
The UK is floating a sea of natural gas, but the freebies and their other butters have managed to persuade this that be that extracting it and using it would be bad for the environment.
Yet, we could and can use natural gas without any nasty emissions the only waste product would be water, which of course can be used.
The technology is available today and would not require any changes to the infrastructure,bar tracking.
How do we achieve this modern wonder, easy, install gas feul cells, which will produce heat,electricity and waste water and not a drop of Co2.
Sounds to simple but it can be done at a fraction of the costs that the CCC want to. Impose.

What plans have the Greens got for Volcanoes??

The Big Island, Hawaii is pumping out millions of cubic metres of methane, sulphur etc gases 24/7 for thousands of years, the sea is boiling and turning to steam as the lava flows none stop into it, warming the Pacific ocean.
I watched it last year and am going to see it again nxt March. Very interesting sight.

The whole Pacific Ocean is volcanic, "The Ring Of Fire"
Volcanoes are at it continuously around the world non stop.

The Climate has NOT Changed here in Lancashire. The Blue Bells are blooming, the Daffodils have just gone, Apple blossom is now out on my apples trees, the buds on the trees in my garden have and are just opened with new leaves for the summer. Just mowed the lawn, first time since autumn.
The 28 varieties of birds in my garden are all singing and trying to mate. the Four Squirrels are leaping about trying to mate, A fox scratched on my front door last night he wanted some dog biscuits, gave him a big handful and he trotted off to find his mate.
IT IS SPRING TIME IN BOLTONISTAN.

Regarding the proposal to have 50% of all autos electric by 2025 would it matter if it didn't happen until 2035?

On May 25th, 1961, in an address to Congress. President Kennedy said "...by the end of the decade [Dec. 31, 1970] we will safely put a man on the moon. This was in answer to the Sputnik shock four years earlier and Yuri Gagarin being the first man in space. The U.S and the rest of the world thought he was crazy. Armstrong stood on the surface of the moon on July 20, 1969. The US put it's treasure and total commitment to see this happen.

Today all the major auto manufactures are in a race to capture the electric car market, perhaps not by 2025, but they're not stupid, one company maybe but not collectively. I would suspect energy companies and service station companies are working day and night and poring billions in to solve the battery charging system too.

How will they charge the batteries, ie, people who live in the tall tower block flats with several hundred cars at the bottom.
How will they charge the batteries in all the millions of Terraced houses with the cars parked in the street or around the corner. very very long cables would be needed and then the gypoes will be stealing the cables for scrap.
All the buses, vans and Lorries will have to be charged, what about the Long Distance lorries, . they would never get there.
This has never been thought through.
Then planes and ships that the Greens here were complaining of, where do they charge their batteries?
what about tanks and military vehicles? where would they charge their batteries in the middle of a battlefield.

Got to point out that I am not a greenie or anything else just someone that takes up space on this globe. Having said this I can see that most comments are of the negative variety towards the problems of the climate. Not going to go into each and every one just suffice to say that I am glad that the younger ones seem to have a more positive outlook towards this globe. Sure there are many natural immissions warming the climate but does that excuse our imput into it. Read on this site that the islands near this country where sinking and that sea levels are not rising (now if that is not clutching at straws). Surely logic will point out that even if the greenies and such are wrong but we do reduce the co2 output would it not still be better for generations following to be able to enjoy the climate. What is everyone so fecking scared of happening if we reduce the co2 output. We here in Oz have gone through six years of total inactivity from our leaders. Just one other global action that I think is taking place? I am of the oppinion that the tetonic plates movements are speeding up hence a lot of problems happening with earthquacks and such like which makes me wonder if San Fransisco is not in for another big shake up before long. As for electric cars? For those that want them to travel long distances, have you not heard of the hybrid variety around. Sure there are problems with implimenting change and that has been ongoing since Eve took a bite out of the apple. My one worry here in Oz is that we end up with another three years of inaction if this current mob get back in and continue to take us backwards not that the alternative party is any better but for me at least we will finally see a CHANGE.

I read a few years ago the log of a Sailing ship. IN 1886, sailing round Cape Horn and up to Frisco,
Off the coast of Peru they met the El Nino, The sea was hot and covered for days with dead fish and Pelicans and other sea birds, etc. The Master reported that El Nino was an event that took place every 10 to 15 years.
So there were no emissions in those days, It is a Natural event but today the Greens think it it is my little car that makes El Nino so I have to pay £260 TAX to drive 2,000 miles a year.
