Interesting bit in the 'Pulse' this week.

It tells how the magnetic North is moving at a rate of about 37 miles per year.
This movement means that many GPS will be out of sync and movement of any kind of the compass North will see changes to weather patterns.

Maybe if politicians were a bit more forceful with the truth, rather than using this as some form of threat in order to gain votes people may take it more seriously.

But looking at what is going on in the middle east, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran etc somehow I do not think they are concerned with global warming.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Reproduction of a letter sent to me not too far back.
To all school youth going on “strike” for climate change; and all the others associated with them.

You are the first generation who have required air-conditioning in every classroom. You want TV in every room at home and your classes are all computerised. You spend all day and night on electronic devices from which your entertainment comes.
More than ever , you don’t walk or ride bikes to school bu arrive in enormous sized cars that choke the. Suburban roads and worsen rush hour traffic,
You are the biggest consumers of manufactured goods ever and update perfectly good expensive luxury items just to stay trendy. Furthermore , the peopledriving your protests are the same people who insist on artificially inflating the population growth through immigration, which increases the need for energy, manufacturing and transport.
The more people we have, the more forest and bush land we clear and more of the environment is destroyed.
    How about this ?..
Tell your teachers to switch off the air-con. Walk , or ride your bike to school, switch offdevices and read a book. Make a sandwich instead of buying manufactured fast food.
No, none of this will happen because you are selfish, badly educated, “ virtue signalling” youth inspired by the adults around you who crave a feeling of a “ noble cause” while they, indulge themselves in Western luxury and unprecedented quality of life.
Wake up, grow up, and shut up, until you are sure of the facts before protesting.

John, that just about sums it up.
Consumerism is one of the main problems, growth in all industries increases expotentially so with an ever increasing population, from 4 billion in about 1980 to almost 8 now how long before we reach 16?

The natural resources are not infinite so the day will come when all the oil is gone, estimated at 104 years at current usage, lithium for batteries is estimated to last for only about 40 years.
But trees and plant life can be infinite if correctly husband,.

Man is his own worst enemy brought about by greed, we are all at some time guilty of that, keeping up with the Jones's and continually wanting the very latest in all manner of things.

But whilst the ones pushing the younger ones into some form of rebellion on the hoax of Climate Change continue to live a life of luxury it will never change.
I find it obnoxious that some school teachers are brain washing their young pupils into this hoax as nothing more than a way to clear their own conscience for all their excesses.

The question was asked the other day of a politician on the matter of climate change, asked if he knew what a climate was his answer made it quite clear he had no concept at all.
When told that all nations between the tropic of Cancer and Capricorn were in the tropics and all others in either temperate, suck as UK, or artic, Mediterranean, or arid he then said well what about all the heat waves, cyclones etc.
When it was explained that these were part of weather patterns he found that very hard to understand.

Normally here in Melbourne February is one of our hottest months, but not this year, we have gone 19 consecutive days without a temperature of 30 or more. Last time that occurred was in 1966. We would normally expect at least half the month at those temps.

There never was an argument about climate change. It has been there since the earth was formed billions of years ago. The total argument is that they think they can control it and to this end people. Are taking advantage of it by spurious claims that if they don’t conform to what is preached then they stand to be annilihiated. These are the spivs of the world trying to gain money under false pretences. I quite agree with cutting down on pollution for the sake of public health , to save the world will take a bit more. Maybe if they supply everyone with a 200 hp Johnson outboard engine we can all flash up together and head for a fixed point in space, and find a new planetary orbit. Is just as feasible as some of the statements one hears. JS

There are many companies engaged in the construction and installation of Wind Turbines and solar farms.
One Chinese company is investing $5 billion in a Queensland Solar farm.
They are not doing this to save the planet, they will want a return on that investment in spades.

Wind Turbines I am informed cost about $10 million each with all the wires and inverters required to operate them.
Farmers on whos land they stand are quite happy as it brings in a good rental for them with no outlay.

Governments of all persuasions will go for this in a similar manner as they did for the Smart meters and many other inventions.

The planet will do what it has always done, go through changes that we do not fully understand, even scientists are divided on the matter.
So we go through weather cycles that if one cares to look back on are nothing new.
But they can be used as a weapon on those who care to be beguiled by them.

I can go back 75 years and remember one summer being that burned by the sun that came out in water blisters and had to get medical treatment which in those days had to pay for. Was hotter then than any today to what people are shouting about. Also on the reverse side of the coin the big freeze up of 1947. Been there and done all that. No big mind boggling weather events exist to the extent they are made out. To me and My advice for the uk would be to try and get it right for once and for local councils to order enough salt for the roads. Every year I can remember in the UK was always the same swan song, unprepared. Was always the same unprepared for anything including the occasional world war , as they will be for the next one also even though is hopefully just a trade war. JS.

I can remember using a candle to go to bed, we had electricity but it took a shilling in the meter to make it run, and shillings where in short supply in those days, people today don't know they are born.

Today the' people who know' claim this is the hottest year on record for an Australian summer, not bad for a country where records only began in about 1820.

Yet we have had the coldest February since 1966, it was far hotter in the summer of 1998/9 when we had four consecutive days over 40 in Melbourne, this year only one day.

But the ' climate change' mob will hang on to this weather pattern and use it as a weapon to support their case.
The drought we now have is no where as bad as the one of 1983/5 or the five year one of 1999/2004.

But when it comes to records they are only by those who wish to push the climate debate.
